Can You Describe Your Business In 150 Word Or Less?

It true. If you can't describe what business you do in 150 word or less, than you not yet fall in love with your business.

Imagine you're in ballroom, full of crowd and fews of you friend ask what actually do you boyfriend or girlfriend do for a living? If you said I don't know, they would certainly think, what are you nuts fall in love with someone you hardly know?, Well, that love at first sight, you said. Yeah, the next thing you know they cheat on you. Don't waste you time.

Another scenario, you explain to you friend from end to end. Then came the magic question, it's to good to be true are you sure? Then you answer, well that what he/she said, why?

Then the next thing you know, you ended in a conversation as above.

Lust At First Sight. 

If you don't know why you fall in love with some one? Then it's lust at first sight. If you don't know how to describe your business, then you don't know what type of business you actually do. You may be busy or look busy but achieve so little or worst not at all. You waste your energy, attention and not to mentioned money.

The ability to describe your business in 150 word or less, is very significant. It's a fast tagline introduction on what your actually do and your offering. You only get to ignite the spark at the first 10 to 15 second.

How To Lost A Business In 10 Second. 

Now, assuming that you can explain all about your business. From end to end, word by word, like a parrot ot dictation machine, correct to the dot. Since you don't put any passion into it, or worse you actually don't know how and why you do it, then you actually not sure.

As I mentioned earlier, you only get 10 second window of opportunity, if you hesitate or unsure than you lost an opportunity. Beside, how can someone buy you products or use your services, yet you are unsure about you services or products. For all the thing that I know, you might want to con me my money.

Fatal Attraction 

In business,I had watched so many people tried to duplicate success thing by just follow the bandwagon attitude. Mid 90's, people talk about Yahoo!, so many people want to be Yahoo!. In early 2000, people talk about Ebay, so many people want to be like ebay, starting an auction site thus auction site pop-up like a mushroom. In 2001, when people involve in studiotraffic, so many people want to start paid to surf program. Now, people talk about youtube and facebook, so many people start a social networking website.

All in all, this is follow the crowd attitude. When you follow without knowing why you follow the crowd, you are no different than a blind man. Even a blind man is smarter.

So don't follow the crowd, be original.
