In the Spirit - A Feeling of Faith

Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift from God
So bow your heads all children
Give thanks for that he has given
Rejoice in the presence of the Lord

Reach your hands to the sky
Feel the love of those- up on high
Let if fill in your soul
When you are full- it will show

Question- Do you question?
Is it real?
These tears of love- I can feel
When denial is erased
The commitment may be faced

Now stand up!
Face your fears and show your tears
Don't worry who may see
Weak is not to truly be
As these tears remove the dark
Strength and courage fills your heart

Now carry on-
With the Lord, in the Lord, do the Lord's- Work
Let the Spirit-
In your soul, through the soul, guide you on this- Earth

Make ready for the day of no tomorrow
The one that comes to end all sorrow
Live what is right in your heart
Don't fall prey to the dark
So one day with God you may guard
The next generation from afar

Poem History and Credits

This poem by J.N. Kish was inspired by a Common Ground Ministry revival on 10/4/2009 at the Spirit of Life Christian Church - DuQuoin, IL.  The following day, the holy spirit placed these words in my heart. I jotted them down on paper and shared them with the Church the following Sunday.

I have a dream that someday - someone with a beautiful voice will turn this poem into a song of praise and worship.  Contact me if you would like to pursue this path:  j.norman.kish@gmail.com

Common Ground Ministry

Wayne and Connie Sanders are the founders of Common Ground Ministries, whose motto
is "Taking it to the streets."

Since 1990 Common Ground Ministries has been involved in prison outreaches in the
United States of America and overseas. This includes tent revivals during mission trips, in
the prisons, and various places in the USA.

Common Ground takes the Gospel to the streets and places where most Christians don't
go. They attend many events such as the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, The Indianapolis
500, and the 4th of July at the waterfront in St. Louis, Missouri.

CGM takes the church to the people who will not come to the church. CGM has traveled
the West Indies, including Barbados, Curaçao, St Maarten, Trinidad and Honduras,
spreading God's word, while also helping in clinics, orphanages and in many other ways
throughout these nations. CGM Brings healing, comfort and teaching to the wonderful
people of the Caribbean.

Wayne W. Sanders is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center.
Wayne and Connie also serve as volunteer Chaplains in several prisons throughout
the state of Oklahoma.
