Dr.CHARLES F. STANLEY
Dr. Charles Stanley is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta Georgia and founder of "In Touch Ministries" his goal and his mission, is to lead people worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to strengthen the local church.
Dr.Stanley has written more then 45 books, even several best sellers. In 1988 he was inducted into the National Religious Broadcaster's (NRB) Hall of Fame for the consistent excellence of his broadcast and leadership in Christian television and radio. In 1989 he was named Clergyman of the Year by Religious Heritage of America. The NRB in 1993 "In Touch" was honored with the Television Producer of the Year award and in 1999 the Radio Program of the year award. In 2008 Thomas Nelson Publishing recognized Dr. Stanley for selling copies of his books exceeding more then 3.5 million.
The wonderful In Touch program, can be heard in every nation on earth via radio, short wave, or television broadcasts. Here in the United States, the television program is seen on 204 stations and 7 satellite networks. The radio program is heard on 458 stations and via short wave radio. The In Touch ministry continues to produce audio- and videotapes,CDs, DVDs, pamphlets, books, and an award winning daily devotional magazine, In Touch, which is FREE.
In addition, Dr. Stanley is an avid photographer. Many of his photographic images are featured in In Touch magazine as well as other materials printed by the ministry including the In Touch calendar.
My introduction
to Dr. Stanley and the In Touch Ministry
I have supported Dr. Stanley's Ministry for many years, I am not a Baptist nor do I belong to any organized religion, I was baptized as a baby in the Lutheran Church in Berlin Germany, the famed Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche . Then in 1995 I was "born again" and baptized by a pastor from a Seventh Day Baptist Church in a beautiful Wisconsin Lake. Foremost, I am a Christian and adhere to the true word "The Bible"...a Christian is a follower of "Christ". I have found that Dr. Stanley adheres to these principles, so I find this the most rewarding ministry.
In 1990 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer...this news was devistating to me, as both of my parents died of cancer. The feeling of not having any control was scarey, so I desperately reached out to God...during this time my twin sister introduced me to Dr.Stanley and the In Touch Ministry...now my life has been filled with Praises to God for allowing me to live and work for Him.
