Soon after Wolverine's first appearance in the pages of Incredible Hulk #181, the character of Wolverine would shortly pop up again in Giant Size X-men #1 as a member of the All New, All Different Uncanny X-men. Wolverine's fame would continue to grow over the years, and would reach even further heights with the release of the X-men movies starring Hugh Jackman as the character.
Incredible Hulk #181 continues to be highly collectible comic. It was the first modern age comic book to crack the $1,000 price threshold when a CGC graded 9.4 NM condition copy sold for over $1,000 in the early 2000's. Now that same comic can command 2-3 times that amount, and is sure to go up in value in the future as many more fans were exposed to the character through the X-men movie franchise.
