Indiana Driver Education Requirements
Indiana requires that all student drivers complete a state-approved driver's education course before they get their driver's license. This includes a minimum of at least 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and 6 hours of driving observation. The state has added the bonus that a "B" achieved on the course (both classroom and road segments) will earn the driver the right to forego the driving exam and only the written test will be required.
To obtain their learner's permit, drivers in the state of Indiana should be at least 15 years old. These teen drivers will need to show proof that they are enrolled in the approved driver's education program, and the course should begin within three weeks of the date they receive their learner's permit. While you are attending driver's education, only an instructor or parent (legal guardian) can ride in the car with you. After you have completed driver's education, licensed relatives or stepparents may also ride in the car with you.

Importance of Drivers Education
It is a wise investment to spend time, and money, on a reputable online driving course which teaches the basics. Don't overlook the value of online drivers education.

- Today I started a group for all things Indiana (since I could not find an active one) and am now inviting folks to add their lenses to it. Good info! http://www.squidoo.com/groups/hoosiers
