INET Communitor What Is It
* It's a real- time interactive communications gateway.
* It's easy to use. Just send people to the room entry page URL and then they install the software and enter their name and password. In the very near future the room entry will be going to straight Java System so there will no longer be a need for a download to enter the room - THAT'S IT!!
* IT'S A MEETING PLACE-
- for friends, family, anywhere in the world. You can meet 1-on-1 or hundreds, even thousands at a time.
- you can share your favorite audio/video/photos with loved ones around the world in a virtual 3D social environment.
- you can have interactive reunions worldwide like family, class, military, etc.
-you can also create/join in common interest groups and clubs online like study, religious groups, online dating, etc.
IT'S A LEARNING PLACE-
- it's a virtual worldwide classroom for home schooling, personal development or other distance learning.
- the whiteboard allows the instructor to give "permission" to anyone or everyone in the room and then to see who's participating or not. At this time the board is not interactive with Microsoft Office or Outlook, but there is a desktop messenger system that can come bundled with the room that will allow you to communicate with your students and publish private information or messages to each of them.
- there are enormous servers which will prevent any problems with pushing documents or meeting with large multiple groups at the same time
-teachers or instructors will be able to focus completely on their students with bundled options to have a Virtual Teaching assistant in the room to troubleshoot or push classroom material
-students can save information from the whiteboard and print that information on their computers
- people that do home schooling for example could be teaching their child French and they could actually get a tutor right from France
- it is remote/distance learning at its best, bringing people together from all over the world
- it can be an interactive tool for workshops and "hands on learning"
