How you can benefit the most from your bass guitar instruction 

 In our efforts to be kickin' bass players, its good to stop & examine if we are making the most of our bass guitar instruction.

While there are many methods of learning the bass guitar, its good to see where we are at in our goals.

If we're paying someone to teach us the bass, then usually we have an incentive to practice, a little woodshedding.  We need to be framilliar with the lessons to get smooth and prepared for the next lesson.  The teacher requires work from you, homework if you will, along with practice and skill before advancing your training.  

this method works well for some.  It keeps them motivated and progressive.  Others don't need that type of bass instruction right away, later perhaps, but not right now.  Many have the discipline to learn much onther own dollar and on their own time.  Once the basics are learned and practiced then it is time for more advanced bass instruction with an instructor, when they really need it.
