Internet Marketing for Small Businesses

Internet Marketing and marketing in general has always been a people business, and I love working with people. It's strange because the internet is a cold, insular entity and getting a connection with the end user is always the challenge.

It can also be frustrating for the client, after all "you don't know, what you don't know" and most of my clients really don't know what they want or what is achievable. I have been in the marketing industry for over 25 years, and have seen many changes. When I first started using the internet to market my business, I found it difficult to find anyone who was willing to help put my vision onto the net, and do you know what? it's not changed much. I speak to clients who have had web sites up for years but never really had someone sit down with them and build a complete marketing strategy which includes web site, email, social marketing and marketing PR. It seems that most of the time Internet Marketers and web designers are just interested in the web site and are unable to see the bigger marketing picture.

My vision was to change that and provide my client with a complete marketing strategy which uses the internet as a crucial component.

Work hard. It is the secret to internet success, having a product or a service which is head and shoulders above everyone else is absolutely wasted if no one knows about it. Internet Marketing is only really successful if you keep working at it. This is why it costs money and/or time.
