Basically you are given a personalized referral link for the companies you choose to market. If someone purchases something through that link, you get a commission.

For example, if you have used the Weight Watchers weightloss system, and you couldn't stop talking about how much it changed you and your life, write articles about it. Share your experiences through blogs and articles, and include you referral link. You will be amazed at the amount of people who are just looking for honest customer reviews, and at how profitable Internet Marketing really is.

Where can I learn this? Is it going to cost me anything?

Bum Marketing is basically writing articles and blogs about various products that you have used. It could be a book you read about ridding your house of fleas and tics, or possibly a weightloss system, or even a piece of software. You write an article with your review including your experiences, and you include an affiliate link. If that person is interested, they will click the link and possibly purchase the item/service. You receive a percentage from each and every sale. This method is 100% free, it simply takes time.

PPC is the technique more advanced users use. You pay for advertisements on Google and Yahoo, that lead to your sales pages. It's the same idea, except you don't need to write articles to get traffic. You simply pay money for your traffic.
