Internet network marketers who seek to create attraction and brand themselves, by now, are informed about the leveraging power of social networking sites.

Popular sites for internet network marketers are Facebook, MySpace and BetterNetworker.

Whether you are or aren't successful using these social networking sites to create attraction, generate leads and ultimately establish business partnerships and customers, hinges on many aspects.

One specific aspect is the profile page. Your profile page is the first thing people see when they "meet" you online at a social networking site. It's that first impression that determines if they want to learn more or keep moving.

The purpose of this Squidoo Lens is to review the basic elements of an internet network marketers profile page and a few tips to keep your profile magnetic.

Be a Professional Looking Internet Network Marketer

It All Starts With Your Profile Picture

First BIG tip - If you aren't going to include a profile picture, you my as well not even bother creating a profile. No one wants to stare at a question mark for a face. This can't be stressed enough.

Have you ever been perusing your favorite social networking site and see someone giving the "dirty bird" or waving a peace sign? I don't know about you, but I think, 'Amateur' or 'Idiot.'

Worse yet, have you had to squint your eyes and draw nearer your computer to get a glimpse of their face because the picture is cropped so far away?

These are examples of what not do to with your profile picture.

To be seen as an attractive internet network marketer, you must be looking directly at the camera and smiling. This is the most important aspect of a profile picture. And it has nothing to do with how good looking you are. It's about social network site etiquette.

If you have the extra time and money, it's even better is to have professional pictures taken so you can represent yourself as exactly that, a professional.

There could be a some discussion about whether or not you should change your profile picture often. If you're trying to brand yourself, some hold the opinion that it is best to not change your picture too often so people will instantly recognize you across various social networking sites and social media content sharing sites.

Learn to Engage Other Internet Network Marketers in Your Story

Facts are Boring. People Like Stories.

The "About Me" or "Bio" section is your opportunity to engage people and draw others into your personal story. Share with them your personal evolution as someone who took charge of their life. Because that's what it takes to be a successful internet network marketer.

Be gritty, honest and real. It doesn't have to be pretty. Make yourself real and trustworthy. Touching stories and winning personalities go a long way in creating attraction. Every successful internet network marketer has one. Begin crafting your own. Find your own voice.

Use Headlines to Break Up Your Story

Think of it like a three act play: Beginning, Middle and End. Headlines are necessary to keep the text easy to read and easy on the eyes. It will also assist toward drawing the reader into YOU.

Other internet network marketers want to know how your life evolved, what were your struggles and how did you overcome them? It's alright to include some emotion and/or drama (just don't over do it).

Another tip, which is seldom done, is to break up the content of your "About Me" section or "Bio" with pictures.

Internet Network Marketers Ought to Show Diversity In All Points of Life

Your Personal Profile Gallery of Pictures is Another Place to Build Trust

There is a section at every social networking site to include a gallery of photos. Internet network marketers can take advantage of this part of the profile to build trust.

You want to be seen as a multi-dimensional person. Make an effort to show diversity and all points of your life.

Be creative. Include lifestyle shots, business functions, your first network marketing check, family and other aspects about you. From hobbies to work related photos. This provides the viewer to get to know more about you. And that is the first step toward building trust.

Successful Internet Network Marketers Go Beyond Their Profile

Demonstrate YOU, The Biz Owner/Entrepreneur With An Attractive Website

Internet network marketers can complete their profile page by including a URL link to their respective website.

If fact, if you're not, you could be missing out on traffic, leads, affiliate commissions and new business relationships.

First piece of advice - no company sites. Some social networking experts suggest that it's best to have a short and sweet landing page that provides more information about YOU. Others suggest sending people to your website or blog.

There isn't a right or wrong. Either way, if collecting new leads is your ambition, then having a way to capture the prospects information is necessary.

Another suggestion - lead your visitors to a short an sweet landing page that provides more information about YOU. On the page, make it very clear and obvious that the only other option is a "Click Here to Receive More Information" button which then takes them to a capture page.

Other Random Bits of Advice to Keep in Mind

Capitalize the first letters in your URLs. This makes it easier to read, and easier to memorize. It also stands out as more important.

Consider adding videos lessons of things you've learned or you can teach. Even a 'Hello World, This is Me..." video as an extension of your profile is another means to create attraction.

Love the lens Eric. When it comes to network marketing, one thing thats often overlooked by eager marketers is creating their identity. To someone looking at an "opportunity", who they are joining is as important as what they are joining.

    Hi Eric,

I personally feel that profile pictures should be consistent across the various social platforms people have profiles on, if they are being used for the purpose of branding yourself as a solutions provider. You want people to instantly recognize you from other content they may have run across before. I have written an article about this very thing here:

Nice tips Eric, and I totally agree with all your points in this lens if you want to attract people to you on social networking sites, you have to be social just like you would in the offline world. That's want attraction marketing is all about.

I see so many profiles on social sites with no picture at all, wants the use of being on a social site if nobody knows who you are.
