Flowers for Spring
Spring is a time for flowers. Bring flowers into your home year round with lovely patterns representing the colours and designs of flowers; roses, pansies, forget-me-nots, buttercups, canterbury bells, daisies, lily-of-the-valley, carnations, tylips, daffodils, carnations, chrysanthemums, and so many more.
Motifs
Motifs are very popular in crochet as they can be used in so many different ways. They are sewn or crocheted together to create afghans, baby blankets and clothes, tops, skirts, belts, purses, scarves, chair covers, cushions, and more. There are as many ideas for uses as can be found in your imagination.
They can be large or small and can be made with yarn or thread and in any colour or combination.
The design can be square, round, or multi-sided, and can be three dimensional or flat. A motif pattern can represent flowers, geometrics, culture, sports and more.

- The Irish Rose pattern is lovey, but I am afraid out of my league. I have only succeeded at teaching myself simple crocheting techniques to make granny square baby blankets and afghans.

- The Irish rose motif is beautiful. I will be trying that, although I am an amateur when it comes to crochet.
