It's a Snow Day!
Don't you just love Snow Days? You get to play hookie and hang out with the kids. I love snow days. They are so much fun!
I thought it would be fun to make a lens about snow and the fun things to do in the snow, or what you can do in the warm house when it is cold and wet outside.
I love Snow Days!

Some of my fondest memories are about snow and playing with my family. I remember back in the 70's when I was a little girl. We had over 2 ft of snow and we were all snow bound. I remember our friends lived about 2 miles a way and they packed back packs and hiked over to our house so we could be snow bound together. It was 2 days of fun. We had sleeping bags everywhere. We spend the days playing in the snow and the nights playing board games and drinking hot apple cider and hot chocolate. It was so much fun.
Today I am home with my 3 kids and my Mom and we have been snuggling up and watching movies in between playing outside. It is a wonderful day. I am feeling especially blessed today.

How to Guarantee a Snow Day | Inside out and backwords

So the weather report is calling for snow. You're kids are hoping and praying for a snow day....How do you guarantee you will have a snow-day? Wear you pajamas inside out and back-words. That's what the kids in our neighborhood do. Does it work, who knows. But it sure is fun for the kids.
Isn't this baby cute with his inside out pajamas? He is hoping his Daddy will have a snow day and be able to stay home with him.

What do you think?
Wearing your CPJ's inside out and backwords the night of a snow storm will guarantee you a snowday!

No way! This is the silliest thing I ever heard of.
Sure! What the heck.

Hey, now I know why we never get snow in my part of California. We're wearing our PJs wrong!

- When I was a kid we would go ice skating, sledding, play in the snow, & play games. Every day was a hot cocoa day at the end. I loved snow days as a kid. The school system that I work for rarely has snow days because it is in the inner city. My son still has them though and loves them. I have to take a personal or sick day to stay home with him... Great lens!

- On a snow day I love to just sit by a fire and drink hot cocoa all wrapped up in blankets. I also enjoy going out and playing in it with my daughter! Great Lens

- I live in my father-in-laws tv shop that he built in the 50s. In the 80s he remodeled the showroom half of it into a spacious apartment, and left half of it a 'shop' area. The best thing about this place is the windows: three 9' x 6' plate glass beauties, (2 in the apartment side and one on the shop side), that give a panoramic view of the outside. What I like to do most on snow days is to sit here on the sofa, snuggled up with my kitties and watch the snow fall for hours through the plate glass windows.
I really enjoyed reading your lens!
