Why is Italian Red Wine Vinegar Different than Other Vinegars?
Italian red wine vinegar is made from Italian red wine. As with all types of good wine, there is a wide range of different types and qualities of red wine vinegars.The best quality Italian red wine vinegars are made from the best quality Italian red wines and is matured in wood for years. They have a complex, somewhat mellow tangy flavor.
Red wine vinegar is less acidic than white or cider vinegars and are best used in salad dressings to let the flavor show through.
Some red wine vinegars are made with individual expensive wine varieties and tend to cost more but these types are well worth exploring if you are a true Italian red wine vinegar lover.
