Using TypePad to Make a Blog

The problem I've always had with free blog software is that for the most part it is so cumbersome to use that I ended up dreading keeping my blog updated, and then just not using it anymore after a while.

So I kept searching for something powerful enough to be of use to me yet easy enough to get right in and do it. Fun wouldn't hurt either. I read quite a few online reviews of the options available and paid close attention to the improvements different blogger noted regarding the most popular free offerings. Then I noticed a blurb about TypePad and thought "I really should check that out before I waste more time on the freebies."

As soon as I clicked on the link I knew this was not going to be like the rest of them:

They explain it better than I can, but the main reason I was willing to pay a small monthly charge for this tool was Service, Service, and Service!

It is extremely easy to pop photos into the blog and they can be resized in an instant, which is very cool. They also let those of us who have our own domains use our own names. Finally, if we outgrow the level of service we choose at first, they can seamlessly upgrade for us, still at a modest price.
