Why "JaZilla"?
The screen name "JaZilla" came about a few years back when I was looking for a unique online name that didn't involve numbers. There can be only one! My given name, JaNell, is unusual enough to use as a screen name, but sometimes I'd actually find someone else using it first.
There was also the issue of possible domain names:
Obviously JaNell.com was out. I like the little buff kid, though. Maybe me in some other life...
So, back to finding a screen name that I could live with.
I decided on JaZilla because, as a toddler, my oldest son got nicknamed Seanzilla. Ten years later, my second son became "Rozilla", and sometime after that I just conformed with the alter ego name of "JaZilla". (At the time I was unaware of the Mozilla offshoot Jazilla.)
There's a definite affinity with Godzilla in there, too; we've all wanted to squish some online troll from time to time.
It suits me.
