I'll be honest with you: Jamorama Acoustic is only for you if you're in one or more of these categories:

  1. You're just starting out and want to learn the basics
  2. You're sick of letting your acoustic collect dust
  3. You just want to play for fun
  4. You just want to be able to play for a few people

If you fall into one of the above categories, Jamorama Acoustic just might be exactly what you've been looking for...If not, then don't even bother. The Acoustic package covers the basics, but it won't give you the broad range of techniques that the original Jamorama package will give you.

Jamorama Acoustic is the third creation from guitar guru Ben Edwards. This particular Jamorama package is aimed at the acoustic guitar player and aspiring singer/songwriters. While the original Jamorama covers many guitar techniques and lessons, the acoustic package helps specifically with the acoustic realm, and is perfect for anyone wanting to play for their friends, at coffee shops, for fun in their rooms or even in front of thousands of people in a band!

Why Acoustic?

When learning guitar, it's vital to decide what style you'd like to play, based on your guitar, the type of music you listen to most, and what level you want to take your playing to. (Playing for fun in your room, playing for friends, playing n coffee shops, playing in a band, going big with a record contract, etc.)

Acoustic Guitar can be SWEET!

People love how soothing and laid back acoustic guitar can be, and this is an amazing example of that:

"So why doesn't Jamorama Acoustic 'rock the house'?"

My Jamorama Acoustic Review:

Well, because that's the whole idea of playing acoustic guitar, right? Yes and no. There is actually another reason: I actually didn't like Jamorama Acoustic as much as Jamorama itself.

To be honest: I LOVE acoustic guitar, and it's all I've played since my punk rock band days (over 5 years ago)! However, Jamorama Acoustic simply provides a twist on the original package, but there's only so much they could do differently since acoustic music is so pure.

To sum it up: The fundamentals are covered in both packages, and if you're all about acoustic, go for Jamorama Acoustic. If you think you might want to learn techniques that can be applied to playing lead (acoustic or electric) or playing in a band, then go for the original Jamorama.

In summary: Do NOT get Jamorama Acoustic Unless...

In conclusion:

With the lead package, there were many aspects of playing guitar they hadn't covered in the original, but in my opinion there just isn't much reason to get Jamorama Acoustic, UNLESS:
  1. You are a beginner, and just want to learn the basics on an acoustic guitar

  2. You are trying to choose ONE package, and you plan to play acoustic guitar primarily

  3. You have NOT already purchased the original Jamorama program
