A Look into Jehovah Witness and Gifts to Support them
I get tired of hearing that Jehovah's Witness' are cult members or that they do not believe in Jesus. This lens is here to enlighten those who may not know what the Jehovah Witness faith is and for those who Are JW - a product line to help spread the word -
I was raised Catholic and it wasn't until I was an adult did I allow a pair of Jehovah Witness ladies to knock on my door without slamming it in their face. I don't know what made me open the door that day- it was in winter, we lived in Sedona, AZ- we had a raised deck made of wood and these 2 older ladies struggled to get up the steps without slipping. Rosey and Lucy (I still remember then even though I imagine they are dead and gone by now) as this was 20 years ago and they were old then. :) I opened the door and invited them inside. I must have spent an hour talking with them- I accepted the offering of WatchTower and Awake and they asked to come back. Much to my own surprise I said yes. These 2 old ladies came once a week for a couple years and when my husband and I moved to start a farm, I gave them my new address- and Bless their hearts, they followed me - I never did go the the church except once. BUT what I did learn was the Bible. I studied with them for a couple years until the death of my husband- and after that I just didn't want to be bothered by anyone- not even them, Bless them. I think of them often because I doubt I would have ever known the Bible if it had not been for these 2 beautiful ladies. So in the spirit of 2 little ladies who shared the Bible with me and taught me more about Jehovah God in a few short years than I had learned in a lifetime otherwise- I offer you this meek Squidoo lens and my offerings of T-shirts for the too often mocked religion- Jehovah's Witness.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES' STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES (1934)
declaration of political neutrality
This letter dated October 7, 1934, was sent to the German government by every congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Germany. This declaration of political neutrality failed to convince the Nazi regime that the Witnesses were harmless.
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES' STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES (1934)
To the Officials of the Government:
The Word of Jehovah God, as set out in the Holy Bible, is the supreme law and to us it is our sole guide for the reason that we have devoted ourselves to God and are true and sincere followers of Christ Jesus.
During the past year, and contrary to God's law and in violation of our rights, you have forbidden us as Jehovah's Witnesses to meet together to study God's Word and worship and serve Him. In His Word he commands us that we shall not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. (Hebrews 10:25) To us Jehovah commands: 'Ye are my witnesses that I am God. Go and tell the people my message.' (Isaiah 43:10, 12; Isaiah 6:9; Matthew 24:14) There is a direct conflict between your law and God's law, and, following the lead of the faithful apostles we ought to obey God rather than men,' and this we will do. (Acts 5:29) Therefore this is to advise you that at any cost we will obey God's commandments, will meet together for the study of His Word, and will worship and serve Him as He has commanded. If your government or officers do violence to us because we are obeying God, then our blood will be upon you and you will answer to Almighty God.
We have no interest in political affairs, but are wholly devoted to God's Kingdom under Christ His King. We will do no injury or harm to anyone. We would delight to dwell in peace and do good to all men as we have opportunity, but, since your government and its officers continue in your attempt to force us to disobey the highest law of the universe, we are compelled to now give you notice that we will, by His Grace, obey Jehovah God and fully trust Him to deliver us from all oppression and oppressors.

Jehovah's Witnesses%u2014Who Are They? What Do They Believe?
Ways They Use to Share the Good News
CHRISTIANS are commanded to "make disciples of people of all the nations," but this does not mean that they are to use pressure or convert others by force. Jesus' commission was to "tell good news to the meek ones," to "bind up the brokenhearted," to "comfort all the mourning ones." (Matthew 28:19; Isaiah 61:1, 2; Luke 4:18, 19) Jehovah's Witnesses seek to do this by declaring the good news from the Bible. Like the prophet Ezekiel of old, Jehovah's Witnesses today try to find those who "are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done."-Ezekiel 9:4.
The best-known way they use to find those who are distressed by present conditions is by going from house to house. Thus they make a positive effort to reach the public, just as Jesus did when "he went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God." His early disciples did likewise. (Luke 8:1; 9:1-6; 10:1-9) Today, where it is possible, Jehovah's Witnesses endeavor to call at each home several times a year, seeking to converse with the householder for a few minutes on some local or world topic of interest or concern. A scripture or two may be offered for consideration, and if the householder shows interest, the Witness may arrange to call back at a convenient time for further discussion. Bibles and literature explaining the Bible are made available, and if the householder desires, a home Bible study is conducted free of charge. Millions of these helpful Bible studies are conducted regularly with individuals and families throughout the world.
Another way in which "the good news of the kingdom" is told to others is through meetings held at local Kingdom Halls. The Witnesses conduct meetings there weekly. One meeting is a public lecture on a subject of current interest, followed by a study of some Biblical theme or prophecy, using the Watchtower magazine as source material. Another meeting is a school for training Witnesses to be better proclaimers of the good news, followed by a part devoted to discussing the witnessing work in the local territory. Also, once a week Witnesses assemble in private homes, in small groups, for Bible studies.
