Trader Joe's has a new jello that is a little more natural, a little less likely to make you glow in the dark. :) I used to mix lemon-lime jello with 7-up and applesauce - that's "salad" in the South.

Some great ideas here. Any suggestions where to find recipes for any of the jellos shown in pics? I'd like to make the umbrella one!

I love jello! Here's the current family favourite: Make jello as per packet, allow to set, then cut into pieces and mix into melted chocolate; add marshmellows & set. Jello Rocky Road!

I am such a Jelloholic! I can eat Jello everyday. If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only have one type of food it would be chocolate (but Jello would be in my top ten, behind cheese).

  • CruiseReady Apr 17, 2011 @ 9:12 am | delete
The most beautiul cake I ever saw was a large and replica of my favorite cruise ship. The cake was about 8 feet long, and every detail was duplicated, right down to the water in the two swimming pools and hot tubs. The water was actually berry blue jello.

I like to use orange juice for the cold water part of orange or peach jello - omigosh, that's tasty. I also use the sugar free instant jello pudding mixed with juice as the sweet sauce for my fruit salad. Enjoyed this lens - now I'm wanting some Jello.

    Thanks a whole bunch!!!

As a matter of fact, I do. It is the Broken Glass recipe.
  • Lisan200 Sep 7, 2009 @ 5:20 pm | delete
My mom was talking about a cake she recalls as "cut glass cake" which consisted of different colors of jello cut into squares then placed inside a spring form pan. She used lady fingers on the outside but cannot recall what was mixed with the different colors of jello. She said when you cut it open it looked like "cut glass". Anyone have a clue to an old recipe that sounds like this?

Looking for Jello recipes, uses the dry Jello (no water added hot or cold) The recipes I am talking about takes a box of jello frozen fruit, cottage cheese, cool whip and some times cream cheese to make. Does anyone have any of this type of recipe? My mother in law made many different types but they primarily has some or all of these ingredients.
She lived in a small town in Ks, but has now passed on not leaving any of these fabulous recipes behind. Most of the people in the small town that she knew has also passed on or don't remember how they were made so if amy one has any of this type of recipe PLEASE POST and PASS THEM ON, They were so YUMMY!
