I love to shop, and I love wearing the latest trends (but only if they're cool). I decided to dedicate this site to the latest and greatest trends to see what people think of my favorites, and to get suggestions on how to wear them. Let me know what you think! The Safari Look is still in.
Paired with the cuff short and shirtdress, it makes a very wearable trend.
The Safari trend has a habit of showing up this time of year-every year. The new take on it this year are the safari cuffed shorts, which are slouchier and thus easier to wear, and seem to be more forgiving for those who have (dare I say it) a little of the C-word. The Maxi / Patio Dress
Seen on Celebrities *everywhere,* it's a casual and very wearable style.
This is a continuance of last season, and I was very glad to see it back. Working the maximum is what this trend is all about; maximum length, maximum confidence, maximum femininity. A full-length dress is about as womanly as we can get and yet the maxi dress manages to contrast high-impact effect with a functional, comfortable and workable look for everyday. Choose comfy cotton with bright colours and bold patterns teamed with wedges or flat sandals for summer days. Of course, I *adore* Juicy's paisley version as well (as seen on Salma Hayek). It's not as bright as the Smocked version above, but is reminiscent of the nautical trend that has also returned this season. I like to pair mine with Juicy's heavy gold chain anchor necklace. And that brings me to.... Nautical Fashions
Never really out of fashion, a classic navy and white top or striped dress adds crisp, clean lines and understated chic. Throw on a brick red jacket or ice-white trousers and you have instant class.The key details everyone is wearing this summer are the sailor buttons on the front of pants, shorts and skirts, as well as nautical prints, anchor earrings, and wide leg pants. The colors and stripes of the nautical are not a big focus but feel free to sport it if you love it.
My favorite take on the trend this summer was the Juicy couture cashmere navy and white striped tee, and perforated flats.

If you're looking for a mood brightener for summer, this trend's for you. They key is not to be too matchy-matchy, or monotone. Always Fashionable Wrap dress
NEVER goes out of Style!
A trend started by Diane Von Furstenberg in the 70s, Calypso makes an excellent take on the wrap dress. Favored by celebs such as Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jessica Simpson, this dress has been featured in many magazines (such as "O" mag) as the favored vacation dress. I have one in several colors. It's a crinkled silk, so you can wrap them up and throw them in the suitcase, and the more wrinkled they get, the better they look!
