I first fell in love with Ms. Hudson when she was belting out amazing notes on American Idol. I was one of the would be viewers who couldn't for the life of me figure out how she could have been voted off. I still can't. She was so much better than many of the singers that stayed behind. I have since lost interest in American Idol but not JHud.

Condolences to Jennifer Hudson and Family
Jennifer suffered a tragic loss on Friday October 24th when the lives her mother and brother were lost. The exact details are sketchy but the feed leads spectators to believe they were shot in their home by a BIL. A few days later it was confirmed that Jennifer's nephew Julian King (7) was found dead at another location.

Jennifer Kate Hudson (born September 12, 1981) is an American recording artist, actress and model. She came to prominence in 2004 as one of the finalists on the third season of the Fox reality television series American Idol. She made her film debut in the 2006 film Dreamgirls and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance, as well as a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, among many others.
She won a Grammy Award for her eponymous debut album, Jennifer Hudson, which was released in 2008 on Arista Records and soon certified gold by the RIAA for more than 500,000 shipped copies, spawning the hit single "Spotlight".
In late 2008 Hudson's mother, brother, and nephew were killed in a shooting. Her estranged brother-in-law has been charged with their murders. Soon after the tragic events occured, Hudson stepped out of the limelight for a three month timespan.
