When you are looking for a jersey display case you have a multitude of options available on the market. The case material and wood options are seemingly endless and this can be a little confusing for a first time buyer. In this lens we will explore all of the options available and a few tips to look for for new buyers and serious collectors alike.

A jersey display case is basically a box made out of a transparent material that will let you see what it is that you are trying to protect. In our case we are trying to show off a football, soccer or some other type of jersey, so our case is going to be a little bit bigger. Jersey cases are among the most expensive for this reason but they do not have to be if you are okay with purchasing discount materials.

Most cases on the market today are either made out of traditional glass or acrylic. Glass is the older tried and true material but the various brands of acrylic, such as Plexiglass and Lucite, are coming up fast behind. Glass provides a heavier and more solid feel but is also more fragile if your display case were to tip over. Because a jersey display case is so large glass is often an impractical choice if you are looking to purchase a case on a budget. Such large panes of glass run into serious money, but can provide decades of quality protection if you do choose to go that route.

Acrylic jersey cases are the new kid on the block but are quickly changing the way display cases are made. Acrylic is easily made into very large format designs so it lends itself to very creative cases.
