"I have NEVER been a Jessica Simpson fan. I have listened fully to every album she has done, from her 'tooth-achy' debut Sweet Kisses, to her 'I-can-be-like-Britney-too!' seconds album Irresistible, to her "yay-im-boing' third album In This Skin. This time around Jessica might not be a great innovator but she at least has a direction musically rather than image wise. She chose the 1980's. While many artists today have done that already, (not to mention all the artists from, oh lets just say, the 1980's), she at least had something in mind that she sticks with for most of this album, or at least half of it. Jessica has done her fair share of (really bad) covers. This time she actually does a really good one! You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) is one of the best covers I have heard in a while. Not that this CD is amazingly creative. I mean it has its fair share of "Oh-Jessica" moments. You know those....they are those moments where she used her dumb blonde image to pick out a song. Thus Push Your Tush was created. She acts so shamelessly silly in the song. But when she tries to stay away from what she feels are grow worthy tracks, she actually can pull of some fun fluff. The stand outs are You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) and Fired Up."

A Kid's Review

"Jessica Simpson's rendition of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" is like her - adorable. It doesn't sound nothin' like Nancy Sinatra's from the 60's. This remake part of Daisy Duke was made for her to play. The video is really cute. She manages to take something that could be sleaze (Paris Hilton washing a Bentley was gross but Jessica just doesn't come off as a nasty girl washing a car in a barn) and keeps it fun and innocent. It's fluffy but it's not meant to be deep."
