Jim Abbott: My Inspiration
Jim Abbott was a major league baseball pitcher who was born without a right hand. He worked through this disability and became a great baseball pitcher, going straight from college to the Majors and pitching a no-hitter. Although he had some lowlights, he will always be remembered as a great pitcher and, more so, and great inspiration to all.

My Favorite Jim Abbott Quotes
"There are millions of people out there ignoring disabilities and accomplishing incredible feats. I learned you can learn to do things differently, but do them just as well. I've learned that it's not the disability that defines you, it's how you deal with the challenges the disability presents you with. And I've learned that we have an obligation to the abilities we DO have, not the disability."
"People will tell you that I overcame obstacles%u2026maybe. But the truth is I was incredibly blessed in my life. More was given than was ever taken away."
