Portrait of a Supernanny

Jo Frost's knowledge and intuitive gift is that she is able to give you practical and objective parental advice on childcare which steps outside the normal boundaries of being a nanny. The advice given is based on a relationship with the parents as well as the child, developing an environment of honesty, openess and trust. Only then can the correct advice be given and implemented.

Whatever the challenge, Jo-Jo can make a difference to your family's life.

I Love 99.9999% of joes advice on parenting. It is so sad some people treat her like she is nuts. When in fact they are.

That's pretty sad. If this family is still abusing their children, they should be under investigation. But I'm not sure what to make of the video you sent me. The episode shows that the parents are enrolled in abuse counseling and have learned new techniques for child-rearing. But the video makes me wonder who turned them in and why. Just because a neighbor hasn't seen it, doesn't mean abuse is not there. Someone has to have called CPS or the authorities in order to trigger an investigation, so my suspicion is that the family is still in trouble.

My prayers are with them all. I don't want to see the children taken from the parents, if it can be avoided, nor do the authorities. Studies show that this is not the best solution, only a safer one. The children must be with a family that can model the proper respect for others, lest they spiral downward, whether fostered or still together with their parents.

this episode broke my heart. I found an update here: http://www2.wjbf.com/jbf/news/national/article/family_who_appeared_on_supernanny_being_investigated_for_abuse/11318/

    that can't be so!

Who Am I?

I am biased... on purpose. I discriminate, but not between races, sexes, social classes, etc. I discriminate between right and wrong; holy and perverted; good and evil; just and unjust. Turning a blind eye to the differences between these things (in the name of equality) never fails to place one on the backward side of every issue.
