Successful Outsourcing of Ghostwriting Projects

You will offer this e-book for free to customers who buy a minimum of $50.00 worth of health supplements online.

The job description above is neither too short nor too long. This gives the freelancer an idea of your basic requirements. In most cases, this would suffice.

However, it often happens that the design of a particular project has to be revised a few times because something is missing. This is often because key data was not communicated properly. After you receive bids, you send out a detailed project spec (specification sheet) so your freelancer has more information to work with.

I own a web site that sells natural supplements for skin care. I have all kinds of customers - mostly women - but my largest customer base is made up of the 14-24 age group.

Because I sell natural supplements, all of my products are safe and chemical-free and are all manufactured in Australia. This means that I'd like the e-book to say, among other things, that:

- Good skin care is possible by using safe and natural products which are better alternatives to surgical procedures;

- No prescription is required for my products;

- My product line covers: loose powder, non-greasy creams, astringents and toners without alcohol, facial soaps (with fruit scents like strawberry, grape, almonds and pineapple), blush-on, eye shadows and eye liners. I also sell sunscreen.

Topics to be covered: general overview of skin, types of skin, skin problems, benefits of using natural products for skin care, ways to protect skin, why over-the-counter products cause allergies, suggested skin care routine.

Sources: I'd like to have at least one citation per chapter from a reputable source. Please do not quote commercial web sites or use competitor sites. Include a references page (or a bibliography) at the end of the e-book.

Table of Contents: Please send me a proposed table of contents. I am open to what you want to write as long as the topics to be covered as described above are included.

Guiding Theme: The main idea that you have to reinforce is that surgical procedures are not recommended and might be risky. There is no risk whatsoever with natural skin care products.

Images: I will pay extra for any images you can provide - but these images must not infringe on copyright.

Work-for-hire and Transfer of Ownership: this is a work-for-hire project and once completed, I will be the exlusive owner of the e-book. You cannot use it as a sample to show other clients (whether in whole or in part).

Deadline: three weeks from start of job.

Feel free to ask questions. I expect to make my final decision in 7 days and will pay 50% of the project fee. Final payment will be made upon submission of the e-book, but I'd like the option to request one round of revisions.
