This cute educational teddy and learning toy was actually conceived in Thailand, however. Suzi was working there in 1998 when she was handed a soft toy being passed around the world in a school project with the aim of its being returned some day. Having visited Australia, Suzi did her bit for the chain and said farewell to the toy in South Africa, but, motivated by the idea, grew more enthusiastic about inventing a companion, educational teddy and learning toy to share the Journey of Lfe.
"I want to encourage families to record their adventures together, to reflect in years to come on memorable moments and happy times," she explains. The result is highly versatile Jofli Bear who is not only a travel companion, but an excellent learning toy as well as a children's plaything.
Jofli, who comes complete with hat and scarf, has a detachable backpack containing a logbook and pen. In the logbook, owners are encouraged to recall their adventures, maybe a day's outing, a summer break, perhaps an even more ambitious trip or event. There are diary and photo pages so that no detail will be overlooked.
Starter packs, which come in four colours, also include The Jofli Story, an eight-page illustrated book of how the bear began his adventures, and an ID card for online extras.
Not quite as cuddly but just as intrepid is a Mini Jofli, a mini-me companion for a standard bear or, at 20cm, a more portable alternative to take on trips.
Naturally, Jofli has a range of outfits for every occasion so choose from T-shirts and PJs to cool traveller, safari kit, flier/biker, fireman, soldier, sailor boy/girl, beach boy/girl and more or provide a complete wardrobe.

The quality of the bear is lovely and he is absolutely adorable! The Company's website is lovely; it is very bright and informative. Also has lots of information in regards to using the Jofli Bear. The content of the package for the product was really good. It had a bookcase along with lots of accessories including a photo album. My child loved the Jofli Bear, he named him Baz and took him everywhere with him, including to bed. I found that the Jofli Bear made our day trips more interesting because Joe was constantly looking out for things that he wouldn't normally so that he could show the Bear and take pictures of them. I think the quality of the bear is great and the size too. He clipped onto Joe's back so that he didn't forget him when we were leaving the house. Joe definitely enjoyed our trips more often with the Jofli Bear and it also helped to get him involved in decision making. The online platform was fantastic. Joe has started to use the computer a lot more and this website has helped him with his navigation skills. The registration process was nice and simple; it was also a great way of sharing photos with family. Joe really likes the idea that Jofli Bear is a friend for life and that he is going to be with him whenever he goes out.
