John Lawry, the really great keyboard player from Petra. Not many people make a web page just about him, so as a fellow keyboard player and a fan, I decided to make one.

About John Lawry
John Lawry was the keyboard player for Petra, and before that, the Joe English band. Since most people have never heard of the Joe English band, he is most famous for being in Petra.
He was in Petra from 1984-1994, when he left for a career in producing albums. He came back in 2005 for their final album and played his popular and great keyboard solo, "Jesus Loves You", which in my opinion was the highlight of the album.
He also recorded one single solo album called "Media Alert". After listening to his singing voice and the album in its entirity, one wonders why he didn't make another.
He also was somewhat of a comedian. Well, not famously, but if one watches the "Wake-up Call" collection video--you will see him asking if he can go shop at Wal-mart and making funny faces in the backstage part.
