The trio are actually, as the name implies, a trio of brothers, and come from a traditional New Jersey home and background, where they attended a Christian school. The members have each been part of Broadway shows, Christian radio sensations, and enjoyed some of the Disney limelight as well.

The Jonas Brothers are better known to their parents as Nick, Joe, and Kevin (whose real first name is Paul), and they are most recognizable by their left-hand purity rings that they use to promise fans and their parents their sexual purity until marriage. They have recorded two albums in their brief but successful career to date, and have just finished their newest concert tour in the United States. They have performed with the likes of superstars Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, and Jesse McCartney, the popular Backstreet Boys, and the new band Click Five. The brothers, along with their parents and managers, have been wise to spread their popularity all over the United States, and it shows in their monumental sales, which are listed as around $12 million. The boys also enjoy giving 10% of their earnings to charity, and donated over a million dollars to a children's charity last year.

The brothers are not planning to take a break anytime soon, however, and have just completed production on a new Disney movie starring themselves as band members. The soundtrack is set to be released in June 2008, and the movie will follow suit soon afterward in July 2009. Their third album is currently set for release sometime in 2009, concurrent with their next tour--in Europe. Together with their band consisting of John Taylor, Greg Garbowsky, Jack Lawless, and Ryan Liestman (along with the lesser-known fourth Jonas brother, Franklin), the Jonas Brothers are planning to be around indefinitely.
