Julie Andrews in the Movies
She's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
It all started with Mary Poppins in 1964. Julie Andrews was no longer just a star on Broadway, she was a movie star. The Sound of Music followed in 1965 and became one of the greatest movies of all times. Several other movie roles followed through the 70s and 80s. But that is so last century! The 21st century brought Julie Andrews to some different movie roles, The Princess Diaries parts 1 and 2, and then came Shrek. (Watch for a new Shrek coming in 2010!) Julie's most recent movie appearance is as the narrator in Enchanted.
What can you say. She's always been supercalifragil. . . well, you know.

The Sound of Music (Two-Disc 40th Anniversary Special Edition)
The Sound of Music is one of the most successful movies of all time. It's hard to imagine anyone other than Julie Andrews as "Maria," hard to imagine a better love story. Hard to imagine that there's anyone who doesn't know all the words to all of the songs! (I do, do you?)

Julie Andrews Music from the Movies
Movies, and music, that many of us grew up with.
Julie Andrews on TV
From Carnegie Hall to Sesame Street and many places in between.
Sometimes the "small screen" is a big thing, like when an actress and singer like Julie Andrews can become a guest in our own living room via the medium of television.Julie Andrews has appeared with such amazing talents as Jackie Gleason and Carol Burnett, she has had her own TV show, and she's appeared in made-for-TV movies.
My favorites are Julie's appearances with Carol Burnett. The two are close friends whose chemistry on stage makes their performances so very memorable and special.

- I saw you once at the Atlanta airport. It was such a thrill. You have been an inspiration and a gift from the Gods. I have spent many hours watching your movies and listening to your music. Thank you for giving us so much pleasure throughout the years. I don't write fan mail, but I just watched "Star!" and felt it was a sin that it wasn't a hit. You were marvelous and you deserve every accolade you have ever been given. Thank you again for all the happy hours you have given me.
