Justin Thyme by Panama Oxridge is the first title in a four book series called the "Tartan of Thyme", a time-travel fantasy series set in Scotland.

It features a Scottish Laird, a celebrity explorer, a computer-literate gorilla, the Loch Ness Monster, and a teenage billionaire genius who converts a vintage motorbike into a time machine.

The first book in the series has been described as "a paradox wrapped in an enigma and disguised as a mystery".

Can you solve it...

 ... just in time?

From the Mugglenet Review: (Mugglenet is probably the most famous of all the Harry Potter Fan Sites)

"I enjoyed Justin Thyme, the first book in the Tartan of Thyme series. And I think that it should appeal to many of the deepest, strongest instincts of many people who enjoy Harry Potter.

It has a thirteen-year-old hero who lives in a Scottish castle full of eccentric characters, some of whom may be spying for the boy's elusive and deadly enemy.

It has puzzles, clues, anagrams, and weird creatures, including the Loch Ness monster, a talking gorilla, and an eight-legged cat.

It involves time travel, memory modification, a master of disguise, a kidnap, and loads of technological wizardry.

Fans of Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, and the "Pure Dead" series should feel right at home here.

Also, parents and teachers will be thrilled by the book's educational value. Laced with a thirteen-year-old's-level explanation of the principles of time travel, it ends with a glossary of vocabulary-building words, Scottish dialect and scientific terminology used in the book.

It also has several pages for young readers to note down the clues they pick up as they go along, including clues to mysteries yet to be revealed in the sequel, Thyme Running Out.

As all the clues, theories, and dangling threads of Harry Potter are tying up once and for all, perhaps the time has come to look for another series to work your sleuthing skills upon. If so, consider the Tartan of Thyme series."

Can Justin Thyme save the day?

"JUSTIN THYME" - Trailer

A "book-trailer" for JUSTIN THYME. This is my first attempt at making a video trailer for a new title, so please make allowances! JUSTIN THYME is the first book in the "Tartan of Thyme" series by Panama Oxridge. Sample Amazon Reader Review: Contemporary children's literature has seen many authors trying to catch the wave of the Harry Potter success, and this is one of the few books that is worthy to be held up in comparison. It has everything: a plot that keeps you on your toes at every twist and turn, hidden clues that kids will have great fun de-coding, a delightful cast of lovable characters (the cook Mrs Kof is a masterpiece), wonderful illustrations and ambigrams, and - as if that wasn't enough - an explanation of time travel that makes it all seem so simple. The website www.justinthyme.info is also a creative masterpiece and a must for children and adults who enjoy solving a mystery. Thank you Panama Oxridge for a terrific reading experience.

About FledglingStudio_com

I never considered myself a hippie during the 60's and 70's, though I now know that I was. College dropout, political radical, artist, back-to-the land-er. I even lived in a converted school bus for a while.

Now I'm older, balder, wiser?

And I'm a certifiable GLASS junkie.

I love GLASS. It's what I do.

For the last 35 years I've worked with glass in many forms. Stained glass, fused glass, blown glass, glass, glass, glass!

And I collect information about glass. Books, catalogs, pamphlets, photos, postcards... All types of glass info, especially the old stuff that you rarely see anymore.

Some of it I resell on eBay. Most of it is piling up in my office/studio.

When I find something I think should still be available to other glass artists/collectors, I republish it.

So far, I've republished two old books - one about Painting and Firing Stained Glass, and another one about Glass Blowing using a torch and glass rods and tubes (also known as Lampwork).

My next project is another rare old book on Lampwork. This one will be "republished" as a PDF file so it can be automatically downloaded from my website, even at 2 in the morning!

I'll be adding more to this lens as I find the time, but for now, you can learn about my Glass Library, my favorite Glass Book Sources, and more Glass Links by following this link to my website at; www.FledglingStudio.com
