KAB's Sash of Badges and other Trophies

I have been on Squidoo since October 2006, and in that time I have had a few good days. This lens is sort of my trophy wall of good things that have happened in my time here. This is to help me remember good things, when I am having a bad day, and perhaps it can help newbies see what is possible.

Squidoo's latest big new thing is the addition of monsters that come bearing points and trophies. The monsters attacked on 9/8/2010, and I started out at level 25.

Kab's Fab Squid Squad

April - June 2009

In April of 2009, as a greeter, I was asked to run my own team for the Giant Squid Challenge. And, so, Kab's Fab Squid Squad was born.

Kab's Fab Squid Squad for June '09 won the competition for 100 Club, and every lensmaster who reached fifty lenses made giant status.

I Became a Giant Squid

September 2007

In the first initiation of Giant Squids, November 2007, I became a Giant.

It came after quite a bit of work, as my initial invitation stated we would need 100 great lenses to get it. I quickly got to work, but never checked back to see that the requirement dropped to 50. When I got my 100 lenses I went back to see if there were any other requirements that I forgot about, and saw that I could have gotten a little sleep that month. Oh well. Doing the 100 got me another distinction...

First Runner Up in the Love Letters to Squidoo Challenge

July 2007

My Ode to Squidoo came in as first runner up (and Kimberly's personal fave) in the Love Letters to Squidoo Challenge, just behind the winner Mr Lewis Smile with his Why Do I Love Squidoo With All My Heart.

Purple Star!

The first week that purple stars were awarded (April 2009), only six were given out. I was the proud recipient of one of those.

I Received My Wings

March 2008

I became a squid angel in early 2008. I consider it an honor to be able to help keep squidoo going in the right direction by rewarding those who are doing a great job with a blessing.

Sometimes I will leave a comment letting you know I've blessed you, and sometimes I will not. Never underestimate the sneakiness.

UPDATE: With a new set of angels in place, I have turned in my wings as of late October 2008.

DOUBLE UPDATE: I got my angel wings back in April 2009, and turned them in again January 2010.

TRIPLE UPDATE: I got my angel wings back for the month of September 2010.

QUADRUPLE UPDATE: I got my wings back, and was angeling around the Games subtopic, but now I angel freely about all the topics.

Giant Squid Greeter

In October 2008, I became a Giant Squid Greeter. I welcome new squids, and keep my eye out for those with Giant Squid potential.

UPDATE: In January of 2009, my three month term was up.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: In April 2009 I was asked to serve again. And serve I did, until January 2010.

Deliciously Devilish Debater

The Giant Squid Organizers gave out some sweet awards/titles to some giant squids. I was awarded the title of Deliciously Devilish Debater. I love debating, and the heymonkeybrain format is perfect for that.
