While researching for profitable or low competition keywords with a good KEYWORD ANALYSIS TOOL, you will no doubt fall to the old stand by of searching Google with your prospective keyword in quotes ("quotes").

And, depending on whether you are righting articles, posting online ads or gearing up for an Adwords Campaign, you will choose your words from Google after you found the keywords that match the criteria that one of the bum marketing gurus have given you as the "gospel" in choosing keywords for success. Whether that be 5000 results or less in quotes or 10,000 or less in quotes (just depends on whom you hear it from) that may or may not be telling you the truth and nothing but the truth.

I have found 100% discrepancy in the keyword results that Google "Says" have been found and what may really be out there. You see, sometimes Google may provide results that are accurate, but they may not be current.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER is it a good idea to leave all your eggs in a single basket. What if they are not telling you the truth? What if they are making you piece everything together to find out whether this keyword is a buying keyword or a "looking for free information" keyword and then you realize that the information given you is not even reliable? Remember, Google only tells you what they want you to know. That may or not be in your best interest.

A good KEYWORD ANALYSIS TOOL will tell you the current level of competition and what your chances are to overcome that competitor so that you are not feeling around in the dark and hoping for the best.

If you want to know for sure that you are headed in the right direction, Google's keyword tool just has not, in ten years, proven to be that tool. Information is power and information will be the difference between spinning your wheels and being profitable.
