KHAPARAPADA
Our village KHAPARAPADA lies on the bank of Subarnrekha river which falls into the Bay of Bengal just around after 15km.In another side of the village one can see very beautiful natural sea beach covered with mangrove forests,casuarina jungles and world famous dancing red crabs.
Khaparapada is under Baliapal block and is 55kms north of the district head quarter Balasore which is 210 kms away from the Orissa state capital Bhubaneswar.

People of my village believes in Love, the God and the joint family system. They work together and live together.
People respect cultural values, traditions, old aged family/village members, village community and committee. Most of the population are Hindus. Still communal harmony is maintained very well though minority like Catholic and Muslims are there. Any conflicts in the village are settled amicable in the village level meetings.
People dislike any type of interference from the admiPeople of my village believes in Love, the God and the joint family system. They work together and live together.

An approximate figure of male : female is 1000 : 985, schedule caste and tribe is 20% and the literacy is around 50% of the total population.
Having all the positive aspects of my villagers, they are compelled to migrate since so many years due to natural calamities, improper Govt. policies and lack of marketing knowledge which affecting their main profession and allied sectors.
Still my people are great in their hearts. They always welcome friends, relatives and visitors with warm greetings and serve them in their best traditional ways.
