...."I ordered my International Kindle 2.0 on Thursday and it turned up in Australia on the Tuesday. Not bad for international postage of $12. For those wondering, the whispernet works superbly here in Australia. Less than 1 minute download.
The version 2.0 is sleek and smooth. Only bummer is that it doesnt come with a cover and I can only charge via USB connected to a computer"....

I love how easy it is on my eyes and the adjustable font makes it even better. I love browsing for books from anywhere and next time I pick up my Kindle, it's waiting for me. I love getting to the end of a series book and ordering the next one in the middle of the night. I love pre-ordering new books and finding them ready to read on release day"....

....."I live in the UK, my Kindle arrived last Thursday and it was up and running in minutes as the battery had some charge when it arrived. The books I had pre-ordered were there and it was very simple to follow the instructions and start reading.

A minor grumble, I keep wanting to press Next Page rather than the select button to make things happen. Its the position of the buttons that seems to make me want to do that. I intuitively want the biggest button to be 'select' rather than Next Page. I'm not quite sure why it needs a full keyboard. Maybe I'll work that out over time.

Extremely easy to buy and load books, although the free books on Amazon.Com are not free to UK users, they all cost $2.50. I looked up some free Kindle book sites elsewhere on the web and have now downloaded a number of classics for free using the USB cable, which was very easy to do.

My son loves the text to speech function, and has sat for hours listening to a book. He has reading difficulties and can only usually manage a page at a time so he loves the fact that he can 'read' a proper book now. I like the small size, the grey colour background is relaxing, and its good to be able to change the size of the font. Even the fact that I turn the pages with a click is great, as I don't need so much elbow room to read a book!

The Kindle does not come with a UK power adaptor, so that has been an extra £12 expense, but I could charge the battery using the computer and USB cable.

I also bought the official Kindle cover, the clips do hold the device in place firmly. I would have preferred a classier cover for the money.

Almost a 5* review, but the lack of UK adapter and free books via Amazon dropped it back one star. I love it already and look forward to reading loads of classics that I wouldn't necessarily have bought otherwise"......
