DEVOTED CAT PARENTS INSIST ON SAFTY FIRST

DO YOU TREAT YOUR CAT LIKE SHE IS YOUR CHILD?
I'm obsessed, I'll admit it. I want to make my cats purr. I don't know why it pleases me so much to see them happy, but it just makes me wish I could mooshey-up and purr too!

You know, when that sweet little tacker is leaning up against you and just starts to purr, right out of the blue, you know you've done something right. Or when that angel, blue-eyed gal nuzzles your neck and automatically the purr machine goes on full blast. Or one of my favorites purr stories is the application of eye drops, to one little spotted exotic, who cries like he's being skinned alive, but the moment he's stroked, he falls into a deep purring modality and is your melty darling forever, as long as you keep stroking.

What is it that sends these felines into bliss, no matter what the the cat's breed is? For some reason, cats safety and happiness appears to be one of my goals in life. I want to please these loving creatures, and I'd like to share some of my ideas and creations for doing just that.

THE CAT'S SAFTY TUBE...

OR WHAT WE CATS CALL HAPPYLAND

Meet Me in "Happyland"
But...Only if You Want To Be Thrilled Out of Your Kitty Gourd! My mom was always building things and when spring came (we were adopted in winter) she was outside everyday making, what she called "Happyland". I guess I should explain, when you're a cat on a boat, it's very dangerous if you fall overboard because the docks are so steep some kitties can't make it out. So, my mom, was determined to keep us safe. Happyland turned out to be this great netted enclosure on the outside top deck of the boat. We even had our own door, through the hatch, above the bed. So, when we were in our netted enclosure, we were outside, but we couldn't fall in the water!!! That's how Happyland was born.

GET YOUR VERY OWN HAPPYLAND

YOUR CATS WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT!

These netted tubes are fabulous for keeping your cats safe if you're on a boat, in an RV or any place where there's traffic!

When moving onto a boat, I was faced with the possible problem of "kitty overboard" and what to do. Since I wanted to let them have the very best life they could
experience , I felt it neccessary to give them the gift of the outdoors. So, I searched the web and found this to be one of the best way to solve my issue.

These netted tubes are strong and flexible and I was even able to attach a kitty door, through my sunroom window so the darlings can go in and out at will.

New Text with BIG Picture

Some cats have paw pads that are puffy gorilla licorice black and others are bubble gum pink. And some paws are massive and built to bring birds out of the sky. There are stripes and chevron patterns gracing legs and feet as well as the odd spot here and there. Their faces are fantastic. There are erasure noses and black noses and a pink nose! There are perky tall ears with ocilli and round domestic ears, and ears tipped with tuffs. There are sweet demarkation lines running from the outer corner of eyes to the sides of their heads and multiple stripes between some ears. Some have black dots on the sides of their noses, not unlike beauty marks that just punctuate their individuality and cuteness.

CATS ARE JEWELS OF THE NILE...

AND EVERYWHERE ELSE

These felines are living sculptures. They are a non-related tribe of domestic and exotic cats, both of rescue origin and one from a breeder. These kitties love one another like the same blood travels through their veins. Sometimes, I think the same blood runs through my veins. How can I be so lucky to have these dazzling creatures grace my life? There are kitties everywhere I look, since I live in a compact, yet luxurious space.

When I look at my tribe, I see deep sapphire eyes, long slender tails and short ringed tails, spotted and ticked, marbled and tabbied, sleek and beautiful pelts. I see Egyptian lined eyes, almond shaped eyes, jungle ancestors and domestic roots - all intermingled in a melange of exquisite compositions of stealth and grace. These creatures are magnificence in quiet and in action.

NAMING OUR NEW SAVANNAH

HE'S FABULOUS, SO HE'S GOT TO HAVE A FABULOUS NAME!

Ok, so here were are with our new kitty brother holed up in quarantine which happens to be what the mom fashioned out of our "head" (boat bathroom) and we're all curious and excited about getting to meet him. He's tiny and sweet, I hear her say, and timid.

All the while we're waiting, the mom is busily trying to figure out what our little Savannah's name is going to be. We knew she wanted an African name because Savannah's are part African Serval.

And then, finally after weeks of trying on different names, my mom's friend, and avid sports fan, came up with the perfect name (named after Kelenna Azubuike of the Golden State Warriors).

And so Linda, became Buki's (short for Azubuike's) Godmother, on the spot!

AND HERE YOU SEE BUKI

ALL SETTLED IN, A LITTLE BIT OLDER, ENJOYING HAPPYLAND

The curious thing about Happyland was that it was a great place to relax, snooze in the sun and socialize with neighbors (who love stopping by and chatting it up). We could watch the seagulls and boats come in and out of the harbor and hear the geese above. There was as much or as little activity as you wanted and it was always great fun. Some of my favorite times were when all of us kitties would fly up through the hatch and race around Happyland till we were so tired, we'd fall asleep in the breeze. And when we were really lucky, Mom would climb up through the hatch and lay in the sun with us all, that was really cool.

I LOVE MY CATS BECAUSE...

THEY ARE GREAT FRIENDS (TO ME AND EACH OTHER)!

WHY I LOVE MY CATS
Everyday I know I will be loved and adored by these magnificent creatures. I can expect it! I know they will greet me at the door, so happy to see me whatever time I come home, so delighted to be in my presence, they roll and expose their bellies in complete trust.

They trust and rightly so, that they will be welcomed on my computer desk, my lap, my bed, my car and anywhere I am and they are polite and amusing and funny and everything in between. You can expect the very best of these marvelous ones, because they are of pure spirit. They don't hold grudges or stay angry, they just love unconditionally. These wonderful animals are such teachers of the most important things in life, the real things, the things that matter and that is just simply what they are made of goodness...
