The Tour

Two superstars join up for a tour - Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are planning to tour beginning in January and will play a total of 24 dates. Urban will release "Greatest Hits: 18 Kids" while Underwood will be supporting her newest album Carnival Ride. It is anticipated that they will play in various locations including Uncasville, Conneticuit, Atlantic City and San Jose California to name a few.

Both Underwood and Urban have earned much attention with their numerous awards (more than 70 between them) and tour tickets are expected to go quickly once they go on sale on December 1.

Recently in the news Underwood admitted to having a bit of a crush on Urban (who is married), and that has caused some ripples among fans. Underwood was romantically linked to Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo after he accompanied her to an awards show.

Individually Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood each have their own credentials to bring to the table during their upcoming tour.

Keith Urban, a forty year old country music performer known for his vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, banjo, piano, bass guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, percussion, and papoose has been actively performing since 1990, with more than 40 awards to his name since then, and Carrie Underwood who made her debut on the hit show "American Idol" in 2004 and has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist with more than 30 awards of her own since then.

Urban is a supporter of the 'green' movement and Underwood is a well known supporter of animal rights (and is a vegetarian). Both of them are committed to their individual causes.

This match-up is sure to be one that brings a lot of fun and excitement to all audiences.

Carrie Underwood grew up n Checotah Oklahoma with her two sisters, Shanna & Stephanie. She performed at a talen show as a youngster and is a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She sang not only in church bur for her local Lions Club at an event for Old Settler's Day. She graduated her high school class as Salutatorian and attended Northeastern State University in Tahlaquah. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication - magna cum laude in 2006.

In 2004 she auditioned for American Idol and she was voted in the bottom 3 on the show though she gained a loyal fan base (Carrie's Care Bears) - she was announced as winner of the 4th season of American Idol and during the 6th season she sang her single 'Wasted'. She performed four different times on American Idol after winning the competition. Carrie Underwood also performed at the Idol Gives Back Concert along with Kelly Clarkson, Rascal Flats and others.
