The best K-cup coffee for your Keurig single cup coffee brewer

Ranked #154 in Food & Cooking, #3,129 overall | Donates to Grameen Foundation

Let's pick the best Keurig K-cup coffee brewer value, then enjoy two very different k-cup coffees.

The best cup of coffee, unless you are wed to the comforting ritual of selecting, roasting, and grinding your own brew. (later we will show you how to brew your own coffee, or use other maker's coffee pods in a Keurig Coffee Maker.)

Myself, I like to stumble out of bed, drop in a sealed fresh k-cup, and get just the right type of coffee -- every time.

After lunch, I'll make time for a cup of coffee to appreciate and relax. I want the fragrance and the flavor to complement each other, and the coffee to stimulate my renewed efforts.

Same day, two different cups of fresh coffee - freshly brewed to order.

The best cup of coffee

is the fresh coffee that is tailor brewed for you, at just the right time.

My favorite coffee maker combines value with useful features

and the Keurig B60 brewer adds dynamite looks to your kitchen.

I'm never more than 30 seconds from great coffee. The Keurig B60 coffee machine looks good enough that I have it on a "real" coffee table in my den -- it's modern and (heh-heh) tasteful.

The Keurig B60 brews 3 different sizes of coffee--5.25, 7.25, and 9.25oz all from one K-cup. You will probably want an extra bold K-cup (25% more coffee - same price) if you use the 9.25 size for a travel mug. It's funny, but I even appreciate the ability to vary the amount I custom brew into my cup - every bit of autonomy comes as its own reward.

I have to admit that after four or five years of frequent use, my Keurig is getting tired. I need to push down on it's lower jaw to open it, I push the K-cup onto the lower pin before I close it, sometimes it's slow. Next year I'll start traveling around the world looking for a new home. Once settled I'll buy a new Keurig. The new ones are quieter and have other improvements. The coffee will still taste great.

When Betty Crocker cake mixes first came out, they were poorly received. The packages were modified to where the cook was required to interact - insert fresh eggs - and the sales expanded rapidly. We enjoy being part of the creation, and being able to claim involvement in the results. Picking my own favorite K-cup, experimenting with other tastes, and actuating the simple mechanism all make the coffee I serve you "my coffee." If you prefer a different flavor of coffee - I can start brewing "your coffee" in seconds.

Coffee is a social lubricant, and a pleasant method of easing into comfortable conversations. One of my daughters finds a second cup, brewed from the same Bold K-cup I just used, as just the right strength of coffee for her. Her visits are often accented by the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee.

Good times.

I would use Amazon's free shipping on this one, anticipation just adds to the pleasures of the gift (to yourself). The Keurig B60 comes with a sample pack of K-cup coffees, teas, or hot chocolates - all of them are pretty good.

Favorite K-Cups for my Keurig Coffee Maker

Emeril's Big Easy Bold k-cups for my favorite, wake me up, k-cup coffee -- BAM!

I like it bold in the morning.

With the Keurig k-cups, the coffee is ground and then sealed immediately, it's always fresh and simple. That added "Bold" on a label means they add an extra 25% coffee into the k-cup for more BAM! I will sometimes re-use the same K-cup just by opening and closing the Keurig B60 lid - weaker but still good, if I've started a project where I want coffee next to me, but will probably ignore it.

If you like your coffee bold but not acidic, Emeril's Big Easy K-cups keep it simple, strong, and tasty.

For now Emeril's coffees ship as two 24 count boxes, but packaging is improving to one 50 count box. With free shipping and no sales taxes Amazon is often the best price available. Amazon has a huge selection of K-cup coffees, including the excellent Paul Newman's Own coffee blend in 80 K-cup boxes. Click this picture and use Amazon search to find your own favorites.

Pardon My Partisanship

But I think Emeril's Big Easy Bold in k-cups is the best home brewed coffee.

Perhaps your idea of a good cup of joe is the one that has the most flavors as it rolls across your tongue. Please; this is not a wrestling match of coffee snobbery, it's about a relaxing yet stimulating encounter with yourself. You can find that in your morning coffee, when there is no one around to impress with your trained palate.

Just you, fresh coffee, and the universe.

With a Keurig coffee machine and a bit of Emeril's Nawlins magic you can invite your taste buds too, they will be satisfied.

For me, early morning coffee is Emeril's Big Easy Bold

Barista Prima... Just as good if not better than Emeril. Columbia is a little dark for me as I love dark coffees. French and Italian Roast are perfect!!!

Ya gotta be kiddin', the only way to contemplate reality is with:

Keurig-brewed coffee is too weak for my taste, even Emeril's Big Easy Bold. I just got the brewer, which I love (what a great gadget!), but I'm still looking for the perfect cup. I'm just beginning my internet search for the answer, and I found your lens!

LaraineRose says:

I just bought my very own Starbuck's mug. I very seldom drink coffee at home but when I'm out travelling around I'm prepared for a "Mocha". I am saving the environment too by having my own mug. I'm so proud of myself. :)
I must say though, if I buy a new coffee maker it will be a Keurig.

I'm not a fan of flavored coffee, even in K-cups - but . . .

I've found a K-cup, carried by Amazon, that is just right for relaxing and cogitating.

Most flavored coffees seem to get the smells right, but the taste seldom follows.

Not so my thought castle coffee, it surprised me in a most delightful way the first time I sampled it. Even an in-law that drinks Angel Coffee - cream and sugar with coffee almost a seasoning, enjoyed this Keurig brewed K-cup without any extras. She requested it that way the next time she visited.

If it pleases her, think what it will do for your taste buds.

I found this excellent flavored coffee by reading the reviews of coffees on Amazon. Click on the picture of a box of k-cups below and look at the section "people who bought this item also bought;" or there is sometimes another list of "people who viewed this item also viewed:"

You will see other K-cup coffees listed with their star ratings (four stars is real good). Click on a coffee that looks good to you, and on the bottom of that coffee's page will be honest reviews - good and bad. I've skipped trying some coffees with bad reviews, and tried this one because of its fav reviews.

I'm enjoying a cup of German Chocolate Cake coffee right now, as I update this lens.

Something special, aroma and flavor that work together. A coffee for special times - may your special times come often, and be met with a satisfied smile.

top comic with the best coffee

Do you get your world news from the comics page?

Sure the guys who write comics have an agenda, but at least they know it. Skip the rest of the paper and TV news, they sadly take their sensationalist pulp seriously, that would be dangerous if anyone really listened.

With coffee at hand, I can scan the headlines and bullet points of the moment on Google News. If I'm interested, a click will take me to larger stories on the subject. I then read a few relevant comics on my bookmarked Yahoo Comics page. Next it's off to Squidoo -- to find lenses that challenge me. I'm up to date and educated - and the day has barely begun.

Get your news from the comics and from folks you disagree with on the internet - then enjoy thinking about it with a good cup of coffee. If today's Dilbert doesn't show below, you can find Dilbert here.

Ah, here I am again. French Roast is my favorite, and I like it strong. Favorite: espresso with milk. I guess that's a cafe au lait? So far, my Keurig doesn't make it strong enough for me. But I'm not giving up!

Charity, organic coffee, Green Packaging, and Fair Trade k-cup Coffees

If any of these are important issues to you, Amazon has a large selection.

One of the of the basic principles of free trade is that without coercion, both parties in a trade profit or they would not bother exchanging products and services. This is the basis for allowing greater overall abundance through unfettered win-win-win relationships.

Not all trades are for material gain, if the environment, stable support to producers, and the sweet taste of giving are important to you, than they may also be included as benefits of trade. These k-cup coffee selections will provide at least one or more of these benefits to you -- and to others.
