Kevin J. Anderson's Background--Astronomy and Russian History--and Lots of Science!
Kevin J. Anderson brings a lot of background to his writing. I met him when we were working as technical editor-writers at Livermore National Laboratory.
At the time, his writing resonated with me because much of what he describes in his books include my experiences at the lab in addition to places I see every day on my drive to work.
In his books, Kevin also writes about the Stanford Linear Accelerator, NASA shuttle launches, space stations, and various places around the San Francisco Bay Area. He also writes about White Sands Missile Range (another place where I've worked).
So, after working with him at Livermore Lab, as well as enjoying many of his books, he has inspired me to work on my own novels.
In the meantime, I'd also like to help him get the word out about his new novels and work--thus, my creation of this Squidoo that features his many works.
