How to find perfect keywords

Keyword research is now vitally important if you want to succeed with internet marketing.

The better your keywords, the better your income, other things being equal. So let's get into it...

Perfect keywords and key phrases meet these 3 criteria.

GOOD TRAFFIC VOLUME.
If you find some obscure expression that only 22 people search for, you might not make the internet income you were dreaming about.

LOW LEVEL OF COMPETITION FOR THOSE KEYWORDS.
You dont want to be competing against an army of other marketers and advertisers.

Few competitors = a brilliant keyword.
Oodles of competitors = a lousy keyword.

BUYERS WHO HAVE MONEY AND SPEND IT.
Avoid the freebie seekers and the information seekers. We want buyers. Every day tons of people search for 'free' stuff but they will only clutter your mailing list.

A perfect keyword points to a market
with strong demand + relatively limited
supply (ie, you have few competitors)
and your prospects have money they are
already spending on your product or service.

How do you find perfect keywords and ideal niche markets like this?

Keyword Magic Professional - that's how.

Step 1 -- investigate TRAFFIC volumes

Important question...

How do you find money-making keywords? - because once you know that, you can connect with your ideal prospects.

KEYWORD RESEARCH METHOD
How to find profitable keywords:

Step 1 -- investigate TRAFFIC volumes.

Go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com and type in a broad term such as dogs. The site will give you a list of the top 100 search results for that word. Under dogs, for example, you will find dog breeds, dog names, dog training, etc. I'm sure you get the idea.

Next to each phrase you will see the number of daily searches.

From that list, select the results that have enough searches to be worth your while to target. Copy from Wordtracker to a spreadsheet.

Make a note of both the keyphrases and the search volume.

Step 2 -- investigate the COMPETITION

Step 2 -- investigate how much COMPETITION there is in this market.

Go to Google.com and type in each of these keyphrases. For the screenshot, I typed in: dog names.

Note down how many competing sites there are for that particular keyword.

See the number of results near the top right of the Google results page? -in our case, it's 1.67 million other sites about "dog names". Must be a popular subject, eh.

For each keyphrase, copy the number into a new column on your spreadsheet.

Step 3 -- check if there's MONEY in this niche

Step 3 -- check if there's MONEY in this niche.

How would you know?

Simple. Let Google tell you.

Add a column on your spreadsheet for how many paid Google ads appear for each keyphrase.

If there are no ads, nobody's spending money and you can forget this niche.

Yawn..... is the boredom factor setting in yet?

By now you're starting to think "I could never do that... it'd be too boring!"

Luckily for you, there is automation software available now to do all the boring stuff for you. It's called Keyword Magic Professional.
