EMPOWER YOUR KIDS THROUGH FUN ACTIVITIES WITH CRYSTALS

Crystals are a wonderful way for kids to learn about energy as they are natural conduits and conductors of energy flow. Crystals will amplify your energy or mind thoughts. When working with crystals they can be used to transform thoughts and feelings and situations. Crystals are used in radios and phones and tvs as they can both transmit and recieve energy frequencies. Crystals can recieve and store information by picking up your brain waves and can be programmed according to your wishes.

A great place to start is to encourage your kids to be still and quiet and receptive - Lighting a candle will assist in creating sacred space and focusing your kids attention. You can also use tuning forks or a small gong to assist in space creation.

Ask for the Light in the highest good of all and visualise it surrounding you, (Imagine this as a cascade of Golden Light) Then move it to include your kids - they will notice the difference if you do this with clear intent and focus.

PS - If you kids are hyper active or have trouble relaxing then, then try doing this at bedtime instead of their usual story or good night talk. So now let us begin our Crystal Workshop together - To tune into your crystal requires stillness, ensure you have created a safe and sacred space.

Hold the crystal in your left hand, take three deep breaths and consciously relax...On the fourth deep breath visualise drawing the energy of the crystal up your arm as a river of white light and see it travelling into the pineal gland at the centre area of your head. The pineal gland is located between your eyebrows and then back into the centre.

Assist your kids in visualising this and in feeling the energy move up into the pineal. Provide some crayons and paper and ask your kids can draw their experiences. Whatever they draw is ok - the point is to assist them in feelng the difference when they connect with a crystals energy.

Improve your Child's Self-Esteem & Well-Being

Kids will generally find the crystal that is right for them or more likely the crystal will find them. Assist them to trust their instincts by supportng their choice if your budget can stretch to it. Encourage your kids to select a crystal, and hold it as long as possible in their left hand (energy is received by the left hand and energy is transmitted via the right hand) until they are certain it is what they want. Pyrite. is a wonderful crystal for boys - its tangible base chakra groundedness and golden earthy qualities resonate with boys especially.

Rose quartz. is a great choice for girls - due to its softer heart centred energy.

Amethyst is a great first time crystal for both and can be placed next to the bed where it will assist your child toward a calm restful sleep and easy dreams...

Ideally you will have a local crystal shop or there will be a crystal stall at your local market. If you are really lucky you can find and locate crystals and gemstones in your neighbourhood. Then like I did as a child you can take pleasure in finding them for yourself. Crystals can pick up and store all types of energy and thoughts so it is recommended for most crystals to clear and cleanse them before use and on a regular basis. Most Crystals and gemstones can be cleansed in water but take care as some crystals such as Selenite will dissolve in water.

A Water Cleanse
Place your crystals in a bowl of pure filtered or Spring Water to which you have added some sea salt. Leave the bowl overnight on the ground so it is in contact with the earth. The Sea Salt with draw out any incoherent energies from the crystals and in the morning they will be refreshed and clean.

A Sage Cleanse
Sage is traditionally used by Shamans to cleanse their Crystals - Burn some sage or a sage stick and smudge the crystals with the smoke. This will effectively cleanse and clean your crystals from incoherent energies but of course will not remove any dust or grime.

Tuning your Crystals
A fun way to do this is with Tuning Forks - It is possible to buy a Tuning Fork which is set to the Schumann Frequency. This Frequency is ideal t tune and energitically clean and harmonise your crystals. I use a Crystal Tuner extensively with my crystals. When you sound the turning forks by tapping them together - it makes a cleansing sound bath for your crystal. Place the vibrating tuning fork near the base or all around your crystal. You will get harmonised and balanced too!

I use the Angel Tuner Set which I purchased through Biosonics - This set includes the Crystal Tuning Fork - I have used this set to clear and tune my crystals, in healing sessions and at the top of a snow covered mountain in Tasmania - They are an amazing introduction to frequency and vibration for your kids - very powerful effects when vibrated around my aura - I feel tuned, balanced and uplifted - ChiWizard.

Charging Your Crystal

This is one of my favourite crystal topics! After you have cleansed your crystal you will need to charge and energise it so that it will indeed sparkle with Light and Love. This is also a fantastic way to assist kids in working with energy. Have your kid siting or laying comfortably and support them by doing this with them together in a quiet space, in the garden or on a comfy chair will work fine as long as you will not be disturbed for a couple of minutes. Have them hold the crystal in their left hand and then read through the following meditation asking them to use their imagination to visualise the steps.

Kids Meditation for Charging their Crystal

Imagine a Giant Mushroom at the farthest edge of Space.
This mushroom lights up with Golden Sparkling Energy
The Golden Energy flows like a river from the mushroom
winding its way through the Stars until it finds an amazing
pink Rose located at the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy.
The Golden Energy flows on through the Stars past the
beautiful blue Pleiades until it arrives at a Giant Sunflower.
The Sun that lights up our Solar System.

The Golden energy then flows on from this Sunflower until it
meets a Silvery Moonflower and it flows into and around the
Moonflower and then flows down and through a white Lily
just above your head. The Golden Energy flows through
the Lily into your head and down to your heart until you
have a glowing and sparkling ball of golden energy around your heart.

From your heart the Golden Energy flows along your left arm into your
hand and fingers and then on into the crystal. Inside the Crystal is
a lillte yellow house with a red door. The Golden Energy flows
in through the door and the house lights up inside.

Now close the door. Ok great it is done, done, done - Your crystal is now
charged with a healing, happy, sparkling, golden energy and
everyone in the house is smiling and happy!

Crystal Magic - Charging by Sunlight and Moonlight

A
n easy way to charge your crystals - Just place them in your garden or balcony in a sunny warm position where they will get plenty of Sun and Moonlight. Leaving them overnight under a Full Moon and then let them sit in full sunshine for 24-48 hours. You can feel the difference when you pick them up - Allow yourself to take some time and feel into the Crystals...They will respond to your attention and will assist in gaining insights and wisdom into your Life and its situations.

Kids love an adventure which includes a puzzle to solve. At your next childs next Birthday Party devise a Treasure Map which gives hints and clues as to where you have buried some enticing treasure.

Instead of the usual sweets, lollies or chocolate, include a quartz crystal, chakra gemstone kit and some faceted sparkling gemstones. Just make sure your kids are old enough that they wont swallow or mis-use the treasure. Ages 7-12 works best for this.

The Treasure Hunt can take place at your home, on the beach, or in the garden. Just make sure you remember where you hid the crystals in case they are not found (extremely unlikely). When you make the Treasure Map - give both visual cues - look behind the green plant plot, near the spiral shell, and also some cryptic clues to get them thinking - For example write on the Treasure map instead of a image, "Inside your loyal friend who likes to cuddle with you can be found the secret instructions to find the Magic crystal of Atlantis" Then place a set of further instructions or picture inside your kids cuddly critter and so on...

When your done and the Treasure has been found - Use some of the other ideas on this site to keep them entertained and help them to grow and expand their knowledge.

Different crystals relate both in terms of color and energy frequency to the Chakras or energy centres on the body.

Purchase a crystal chakra set of crystals - Get your kids to place the appropriate crystal on the associated chakra
and to feel into any changes...

The first is the root chakra. It is situated at the base of your spine. Placing of a red or black crystal between your legs balances physical energy, self expression, ambition, consistency and security. Use also for grounding your childs energy into their physical body.

The second is the sacral chakra. It is found in the lower abdomen just below the navel. Placing an orange crystal here balances creativity, sexual drive and feelings regulating relationship between lovers and friends. Balances giving and recieving emotions. A soothing and nurturing experience for your child

The third is the solar plexus chakra. It is just below the ribcage. Use a yellow or a gold crystal to balance desires, wishes and impulses, both spiritual and earthly aspects. Balancing this Chakra will assist you child in getting what they want.

The fourth is the heart chakra found in the centre of the chest. This is where loving impulses are made into feelings and emotions. Use green or pink crystal to balance tolerance and acceptance of life and relationships, and material and spiritual aspects.Support your childs loving heart.

The fifth is the throat chakra at the throat. A blue crystal will help with communication of feelings and emotions are with expressions of laughter or crying. Assist your child to ask for what they want.

The sixth is the third eye chakra in the middle of the brow. An indigo or dark blue crystal placed here will encourage and balance intuition and enhance awareness in every day life, Develop your pre-cognitive and physic abilities.

The seventh is the crown chakra, on the top of the head. Placing a violet or clear crystal will amplify your childs experiences of knowledge beyond words or intellect with cosmic energies and pure consciousness.

This grid will strengthen and enhance energy flow around the body.

You will needs 6 single point crystals.

All points should face in toward the body and be placed at the tips of each point on the Star. Your child should be lying down with their head located at the top of the Star and feet at the bottom.

Crystals should be placed at the feet, head, shoulders and knees. If you have the Crystal Chakra Set also place each chakra stone on the relevant chakra:

Amethyst - Crown

Use your intuition... Allow the children to play and make up their own grid and experiences. If they have a experience where something happens or shifts for them, encourage them to draw it to write a single word on their drawing which sums up their experience.

Kids Meditation Cds for Spiritual & Emotional Development!

Alum crystals are amongst the easiest crystals to grow. Kids love crystals and will enjoy making their own crystal with Alum.

Alum is a safe, non-toxic spice available at most grocery stores.

All you need to do is dissolve two and a half tablespoons of Alum in a half cup of hot water from the tap.

Stir until dissolved then wait for 30 minutes and the crystals will grow themselves.

Remove any smaller crystals and this way the remaining crystal will get bigger as it will have more alum available to grow.

If you want to color the crystals use a drop of food color - magenta works well.

Alum crystals can then be safely examined and will keep over time.

If you dont wish to make Alum Crystal you can make some even more amazing and larger Crystals by using A Crystal Growing Kit - there are some great Crystal growing kits available at AMAZON

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
You need a big open space with lots of cushions and no sharp edges. Give your kids permission to just be themselves, allow them to make as much noise as they wish and dance or move in any way they wish to. You will need some repetiive dance music - Tribal drumming will work best.

Once the drumming commences guide your child to close their eyes as much as possible as this is primarily an internal process and to imagine a rabbit hole, opening in a tree, or doorway in the earth. Ask them to enter the passageway and travel or step down into the earth until they come to a magical place - Guide them to look out for anything significant such as landmarks or people or animals.Gude them to look out for animals in particular.

A general rule of thumb is that if an animal appears before them four times, it is their Animal Power Ally. Whatever type of animal that appears is ok whether mouse or dragon. If, for example, their Power Ally is a Tiger - encourage them to walk, leap, purr and play like a Tiger does.

If all is going well you should now have a space full of controlled chaos as the kids feel into their Power Allies to the rhymn of the music. Then lead the kids back up the rabbit hole or doorway, If the opening has a doorway make sure they shut it behind them. Fade out the music and ask them to sit or lay down, take a deep breath and relax like butter melting into the ground and to close their eyes...

Now guide them into imagining that they are standing out on green field under a blue sky enjoying the warm sunshine... ask them to imagine that the sunshine is cleansing and energising them from the tips of their toes to the ends of their fingers and througth the top of their heads. Then give each of them a crystal and task them to imagine that the golden energising sunlight is flowing into their crystal so that it is filled with a ball of golden light.

Inside the golden light ask them to see their Animal Power Ally and engage them by advising it now lives in the crystal and will come play with them whenever they call to it through their crystal.

Scolecite - Helps one to realize subtle messages from the inner self and from higher sources - enhances dream state, promotes dream recall, lucid dreaming and restful sleep.

Howlite - calms the mind and aids in sleep and meditation.

Moqui Marbles (Shaman Stones) - Among my favourite stones for use during the sleeping hours - They don't need special care, they realign the energy centers, relieve energy blockage, stimulate Chi energy, ground, center and protect, they are equally balanced between grounding and energizing, and act as a connector to the Earth's energies.

If you have older kids try this with them - It will further extend their sense of Self and tell them they can also practice this in situations where something or someone disturbs them.

When working with others in a healing or even playful capacity where energy is exchanged it is important to firstly visualise white light or flowing water rinsing over you like a cool refreshing shower. This will take care of the spiritual energy.

To create a physical break from another person put your right and left hand, palm to palm, fingers touching and elbows out to the side. Rub your palms together vigourously, then pull your right hand back to your chest palm facing outward and extend your left hand outward with the palm facing up and outward.

Feel the energetic break with the other person. Once complete move your right hand like a knife up and down in front of your chest making a slicing motion down to the solar plexus and up again - This will close off the etheric "bubble" that protects you

Growing up as a child - I had no direct support or learning that could assist me in understanding the subtle spiritual arts - I was drawn to crystals and I would collect them and study them and feel them. I had a geologists hammer and I would dig out small quartz crystals at our local beach, clean them off when I got home and put them out in the sunshine.
