Some Children Just Love Music
Little Rachel is one of them
I was so impressed with the song that it's now actually in the guitar course for kids. Was thinking how inspiring it would be for little kids to learn a song written by a peer. Maybe they would write their own songs too!
I asked her Daddy, Dave Webb, how she wrote the song. He replied:
"Actually, Rachel wrote the song mostly herself, including the tune. I was playing my guitar one day, just worshipping the Lord and Rachel came into the room and started to dance and sing spontaneously, joining into the worship. I put the chords to the tune and kind of helped her with the timing, but it really is her song."
Is that precious!
What Guitar Should I Buy?
If you are going to buy one, let me recommend starting with a nylon string guitar. It's much easier on your fingers than steel-strings. For ages 5 and 6 a half size guitar is the best to start with. For ages 7 and anyone under 5'2" a 3/4 size guitar will be perfect.
This applies for adults under 5'2" too. A 3/4 size guitar will be much easier for you to play. You can even buy good quality expensive 3/4 size guitars.
