The 250-Watt motor and 4-1/2 quart bowl allows it to handle recipes of up to 8 cups of all-purpose flour.

The KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer comes with 3 attachments, 2 of which are dishwasher-safe. The stainless-steel bowl can also be washed in the dishwasher. As with other Kitchen Aid stand mixers, the planetary mixing motion incorporates all ingredients easily and quickly without needing to rotate the bowl.

We received this as a wedding gift, and it is absolutely wonderful! It comes in various colors, but we received white, which complements are entire kitchen. It's extremely heavy, which means it doesn't skid all over the place when the mixer is on but stays put. The blade holder tilts back so you can get the attachments -- dough hooks, blades, rotary whips, you name it! -- out easily. And when you buy the proper attachments, it can be a juicer, a shredder, a pasta maker, even a sausage maker! Cleaning is very simple, and mixing/whipping things is easy and ingredients blend wonderfully. It does take up sapce, though... a gift (or need) for serious cooks!

I was so excited to see this product at this fantastic price. I already own this same model and it is a wonderful appliance. My sister in law has been wanting one for years so I quickly picked this up for Christmas. I can't wait to see her face when she opens it.

This is a top of the line mixer and is perfect for general baking needs. However, if you are looking for something to mix heavier bread dough, I would suggest getting a more industrial model. The motor on this drags when mixing whole wheat and other heavy duty doughs.
