The KitchenAid Professional 600 Stand Mixer boasts 575-Watts of power, making it efficient enough to handle recipes with up to 14 cups of all-purpose flour.
The wide-mouth 6-Quart bowl makes adding ingredients easy while holding enough to tackle a triple batch of cookies. And the pour shield keeps the ingredients in the bowl instead of all over the counter. The soft start feature also eliminates by splatters by slowly raising the mixer's speed to the selected setting.
The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series Mixers are bowl-lift models. Since the bowl is supported by 2 arms, the machine is more stable than the tilt-head models.
As with all Kitchen Aid stand mixers, the Professional 600 Series mixers come with 3 attachments.

- A burnished flat beater for medium weight mixtures.

Before making room in your kitchen for a new mixer, it might be nice to hear what owners of the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixers think.Have had the mixer for at least 5 years. No problems at ALL. Love the extra power when I do something like a double batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Great for whipping up a batch of pizza dough. Like the pasta attachments too; fun to make my own pasta once in a while. I think the extra power is worth paying a bit more for this mixer; it's always there when you need it. I expect my mixer will last for many, many years to come.
I have been saving for this mixer for years and it is worth every penny!! I use it at least once a week, an avid baker, and it makes my bread baking so much easier. I did it all by hand before. It makes everything fantastic, cakes icings breads. You will not be sorry if you purchase this mixer!
This is one product that no cook should be without. My fiance' bought me this mixer and it has made cooking a dream. It is so nice to be able to do more then one thing at a time. It's like having another set of hands in the kitchen that actually don't get in the way.

- Yes, a good friend of mine got one from the US and brought it back to Singapore. She uses it with a transformer due to voltage difference. She recommends that I get one when I was looking for the artisan unit. I may get this Pro600!:) I have been searching for far too long to get one that I will not be disappointed. Hope this Pro 600 will be my ideal kitchen piece!

- I got this mixer in copper last year for my first anniversary from my wonderful husband. I love making bread and this makes it so easy. My birthday is in June and anniversary in July, so I just got my bd present. The ice cream attachment, the slicer/shredder attachment and the 3 quart bowl and wisk. I can't wait to use them, plan on making ice cream tomorrow, and just got veggies out of my garden and am going to use the slicer/shredder too. Also plan on a pie with meringue so I can use my 3 qt bowl...I love my mixer with all the attachments.
