Stanley Kubrick - revealing unforeseen

Ranked #23,303 in Entertainment, #283,396 overall

new form for cinema

Stanley Kubrick directed only twelve films in almost forty-five years. However these 12 manifest a rare sensitivity in their utmost attention to detail.

Kubrick was also a forerunner in the world of cinema in a sense that he devised new technologies required to render visible many of the unforeseen places or states of mind.

Through this attention he transformed the visual language of cinema, which inspired many of the younger filmmakers to explore with the cinematic form even further.

Very nice tribute to the late Stanley Kubrick, a man who was truly ahead of his time. I haven't seen Eyes Wide Shut but I have marvelled at his work on A Clockwork Orange, 2001, and The Shining (which still sends shivers down my spine everytime no matter how many times I've seen it)
