LG BD 370 Network Blu Ray Disc Player | DVD Player

The BD370 LG network blu-ray disc player sports a sleek sporty design in black and silver. Fold down doors conceal the DVD slot and the controls. The only drawback is the angled power and eject buttons on the middle button. A built in USB media connector allows you to view JPEG and MP3 files directly.

The BD370 player has many outputs available on the back panel. They include the coaxial and optical digital sound system outputs for connecting to your sound system in dolby digital. For the audiophile, 7.1 surround sound connectors are available. And for people with older systems, 2 channel stereo output is available. Video outputs are a complete sweep. They include component video for a decent picture, HDMI for the excellent 1080P picture on your HDTV, and a coaxial video for older television sets that do not include HDMI or component video inputs.

The LG BD 370 player is network ready. This means that you can get firmware updates directly from the internet without having to put in a disc. It is also completely network ready to play your favorite movies from the internet. Out of the box it is ready to play NetFlix, NetCast, CinemaNow, and YouTube videos. The BD 370 comes with an ethernet port. An ethernet port is included as part of the connectors on the back of the dvd player.

An included USB port give you access to play JPEG and MP3 files directly.  It is also used to provide extra memory to play advanced BD content.

The BD 370 give you full high definition capability. It sports a full 1080p resolution at a rate of 24 frames per second. It will also up convert your DVD media as you play them. This means that you can play your high definition NetFlix movies directly with this player and see them in all their vibrant color and definition.  They will look good on your HDTV.

I bought this in Indonesia - it is currently the only Blu Ray player on sale at a sensible price. I am delighted with the video and audio performance although I have only my old temperamental (but otherwise excellent) Samsung 1080P7 upscaling DVD player as comparison.

It is a well manufactured good looking piece of equipment and it is fast and plays every DVD in my collection. That is to say it does now that I found a region hack on Fixya, for which I am most grateful.

I have only three Blu Ray discs and they look terrific. I will leave the question of how the quality compares to the Panasonic and Sony entry level models to the experts.

I'm giving it 5 stars as it is the best and most user friendly DVD player I have come across in 8 years, and the speed is terrific. DVD and BD quality appear awesome to my eyes. The remote is easy to use and will operate basic controls on most TVs. At under $300 it is cracking value.

I was in the market for a dvd player, and found this. It took about 15 minutes to set up, and then 30 minutes of updates once it was hooked up to my internet. The player works like a charm, and the picture and sound quality are phenomenal. The Netflix compatibility with my account is such an incredible feature. This piece of equipment really floored me. I found it was $25 less than other blue ray player with less features. I know LG is a good company so this should work for quite some time.
