Thank You for supporting my son...He raised over $4,000.00 dollars to help find the cure for cancer !!
Yesterday, 10/11/2009, in British Columbia he ran 26 miles in 5 hours and 25 minutes. Holly, his wife was there to support him. The rest of his family and extended family all kept up with his progress by telephone. It wasn't easy for him but he knew that going into this challenge.
Above is a picture of our son that we are so excited and happy for. If pride could emulate the sun the world would all be lit up at the same time!
Please continue to support your local LLS.
Thank You for all of your support and kind words.

I'm making this page about The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society because recently my son has volunteered to help this organization by raising funds to find a cure for these debilitating diseases.
It all started about 38 years ago when my mother passed away from Lymphoma cancer. She was 51 years young and my son wasn't even born yet. This of course means he never had a chance to meet her.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the world's largest private health organization dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and to improving the lives of patients and their families.
Here are a few that your donation will help.
Help My Son support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
HE DID IT !!!
My Mother died from Lymphoma and later that same year my son was born. He never had the opportunity to know her and yet she lives within him. Then 25 or so years later he found a wonderful girl that lived 2,230 miles away. He left his mother and I to pursue his happiness and found it. After a few years they married and now have two beautiful children.
Then some bad news came when his father in law was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away. The next year he realized that 6 of his personal friends were in someway diagnosed with these terrible diseases. One of them lost his battle and passed away. It was then my son decided to do what he could to help stop this terrible disease that does nothing but takes away the possibility of families living happily together.
When he called to tell me his decision to do this I was more than moved. I reminded him of the grandmother he never met and mentioned that she died from lymphoma many years ago. He was surprised and I think it alarmed him that this has been going on for many generations.
He has taken the challenge of running 26 miles in order to raise funds for this cause. Bear in mind he has never done anything like this before. This will take him 5 months of weekly training to accomplish this. There are not enough words in the english language for me to express how Proud of my son I am.
Please help my son raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I mean it when I say even a dollar will help with this great cause. Please CLICK HERE RIGHT NOW and help us keep families together.
Sincerely

- Wow, that's a lot of people to know who've had the disease. I have a friend who raises money for this cause and is running a marathon early next year. When I ran one myself, I saw LOTS of people in those purple tops and many of their coaches along the race course. It's a wonderful, worthwhile cause and a great program.
