The good thing about working at home is that you don't have to wake-up so early in the morning. Hurrying up to fix yourself. Even if you've stayed late working on some projects, you still have to wake-up early, fix yourself and go to work. Praying that you won't be late because of the traffic. Worrying that your boss will nag you again to remind you of your responsibilities or maybe just so you would know that he's superior than you.

I feel lucky that I'm out in the rat race now. Though I don't hurry up to wake-up early in the morning it doesn't mean that I don't stay up all night working. In fact I stay up all night working about 4 days in a week. This is how much effort you must make when you want to work online. But I'm not complaining. In my mind I'm free. What else is better?

For some people, the primary reason they keep on doing work, even if it pains them is because of money. This is right, specially now that the economy is not stable. We should value the things that brings food in the table. What use will freedom be when you can't eat.

But wouldn't it be better if the things that brings food to your table is also the things that you really love doing? Why not find the things that you love doing and start giving them some of your time. You don't have to make drastic changes. You don't have to leave that dead end job immediately. Start small, just do the things you love doing on your spare time, but do it consistently. Who knows that small hobby you have can turn into a full-time business in someday.

If you have a crazy, demanding, always angry boss who seems to always focus his frustration on you. Stand-up to him. Let him now that you are a human being too. You feel things and also feel pressure. Fight back (but don't punch him). As long as you do your job at the best of your abilities and serve the company well then you have the right to talk back.

Sometimes all that is needed is to stand-up to this crazy bosses and they'll realize their mistakes. Just be careful not to overdo it but if he fires you because of the event. Then simply accept it and know that you were better of without them anyway. People who treats other people lowly doesn't deserve good service..Oh and one more thing, get a lawyer and sue them.

Take all the training that you can get. Learn all the things that will help you improve your knowledge of the job. Make the best out of yourself. You owe it to yourself to be the best that you can be regardless of the situation. If the office won't pay for your training, attend every free trainings and seminars you can get your hand into.

And don't limit yourself to only the things related to your job. Expand outside of your job. If you're thinking of learning to play the guitar, then buy one and start studying in your spare time. If you learn how to dance. Do it after hours. Expand yourself. The more you do it the more you realize that life offers so many options. We are only limited by our imagination.

In the office or out, life is not just about working and making money. Life is about helping people. Life if about touching other peoples lives. Have you smiled in that canteen lady. Did you greet your hardworking janitor. Do you go out of your way to serve your boss when he really needs you.

This is what life is all about. Not just the work but the connection. To touch other peoples lives. To be a real human being with them. Somebody who cares. Somebody who is also vulnerable. Somebody who is real. Somebody who is there to lend a helping hand.
