LaGrange, KY Relocation Guide
If you are taking the tour of Oldham County, just head on up I-71 to exit 22 and you will find LaGrange, KY.
LaGrange is a mix of Newer Neighborhoods, Horse Communities and an older Downtown Residential and Commercial District that will remind you of times gone by. My family enjoys going to the farmers market every Saturday during the summer on the Courthouse Lawn. There is a train track that goes down main street (check out the video below), right in front of the local restaurants and shops.
On the other side of I-71 you will find Kroger, Walmart, Tri County Hospital and other major names you need. You don't have to go back in to Louisville unless you want to.

LaGrange Farmers Market
A Great Way to Spend a Saturday Morning
The Farmers Market is every Saturday and Wednesday fromJune 7th to September 27th,
Except July 19st for Oldham County Days
8:00am to 1:00pm (Saturdays)
4:00pm to 7:00pm (Wednesdays)
It is Located at the Courthouse Square in Downtown LaGrange at the corner of HWY 53 and Main Street, right next to the train tracks. The LaGrange Fire Station is across the street, so after you hit the market you can visit with the firefighters. We stopped in and they were more than happy to let my 4 year olds go through the fire trucks, turn on some lights and see the firemen put on their fire gear, masks and all. So after you hit the market you can visit with the firefighters.

It is a fun time for kids as well as adults. Lots of local handmade items in addition to the fresh produce and homemade treats.
LaGrange School Breakdown
Since the wind storms that caused school to be out for an entire week, the Oldham County Board of Education has decided to take away a teacher pd day and have the students at school this coming Friday 9/26/08.Oldham County is known for its top ranked schools throughout Kentucky. LaGrange Students start out at LaGrange Elementary. After successful completion, they head over to the Oldham County Campus. The campus consists of Oldham County Middle School and Oldham County High School. Currently, Oldham County High School is adding on to accomodate the growth in this part of Oldham County. Year in and year out Oldham County is at the top of test scores for the entire state.
