La Jolla is a beautiful California city

La Jolla is an affluent oceanfront city occuping seven wonderful miles of curving coastline along the Pacific Ocean. Although it is a part of metropolitan San Diego, La Jolla has a small town atmosphere to it and is a distinct community.

La Jolla has a rugged coastline of ocean bluffs and beautiful beaches. The residents enjoy lovely weather all year and ocean swimming is very popular.

With many gated developments and expensive estate homes La Jolla is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Diego, home to some of the county's wealthiest people.

La Jolla in Spanish means "the jewel" which I think is a perfect name for this lovely community just a short drive from downtown San Diego.
