Greetings!

My name is Edie MacKenzie and I am the author of
The Definitive Guide To Labradoodles.

I just love these dogs!   My fascination with Labradoodles began with my desire to add a third dog to our pack.  But the big stumbling block was that my husband was allergic to the two dogs we already had!  I wanted a dog with the personality of our retriever mix dogs, but with an allergy friendly coat.  The Labradoodle was the answer!

The result of all my research into Labradoodles was my ebook
The Definitive Guide To Labradoodles

I hope you enjoy my Squidoo Lens and can learn more about these great canines!

Our New Puppy - Born on March 9th!!!

Yes, we are finally adding to our pack! We are proud to say we will be a guardian home for one of Noble Vestal Labradoodles' stud dogs.

Here is wee Wally at 3 weeks! What a cutie!!!

It 's Here!! 'Your Doodle Puppy's First Year Made Easy'

Why write this ebook?

My latest ebook was inspired by our forthcoming puppy. We are adding a Labradoodle to our pack this spring and we haven't had puppy in the house for five years. I figured if an experienced dog owner and author was wracking her 'well over 40' brain trying to remember what puppyhood entailed, others must be searching for the same information.

Why Playtime is Important For Your New Puppy

For your puppy play and exercise are inherently linked, because their idea of play involves jumping, romping, stretching, and any type of physical activity. And if you're not careful it may get you in shape too!

Now as you begin training remember the value of play in the growth of your puppy, while using gentle but firm training and direction. Puppy hood is a challenging but charming time for you as an owner and before long it will be over. So enjoy the joie de vivre of play with your adorable little puppy as long as you can.

So, You Want a Hypoallergenic Dog?

Well, technically, there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. Contrary to popular belief, people are not allergic to a dog's hair or its dander but rather to a protein shed from the surface of the skin. Shedding spreads the protein and as a result causes an allergic reaction in some people. So, if a dog is low or non-shedding, it reduces the potential for an allergic reaction to this protein.

I would expect nothing less from you! I am always thrilled to be along for the ride and have grown from someone who thought Labradoodle was a cool word to someone who truly loves and admires them.

Great idea. I'm looking for a Goldendoodle and appreciate all the information I can find. (Can't seem to figure out how to "rate" it; when I click on the stars, nothing happens . . . But it's a 10 on my list. Thank you.

How to Stop Your Puppy From Jumping On Everybody

It wasn't that long ago our Chessie/Golden mix, Sonagh, would go into a state of complete apoplexy with the arrival of guests. She would be completely out of her mind . . . to the point where I couldn't open the door. Well today, I can report both of my dogs stay in their sit position and are perfectly quiet when anyone arrives at the door.

This article will show you what you need to do to stop your dog from jumping up on everybody who enters your house.
